the "image ref" feature of banana is a sort of "all in one" feature. it does what you tell it to do. if you want it to keep the same face as the ref image, you need to tell it to, and quite often it will.

example prompt: "the guy from the reference image is wearing a batman outfit, standing in a dark alley. (use the same face as the reference image)"

its okay. but nanobanana also gets the aspect ratio wrong sometimes when your input isnt a square.. so you may wanna use Flux to get a square image first, for Nano to play with

Hi momodd, not at present, it's a third party issue being worked on to fix. Seems to be half fixed, still issues with generating using the third party Models (Flux, Kling, Veo, etc.).

Currently you should be able to generate with the Leonardo Models with no issues.

Took some old character headshots I did in Flow State back at the beginning of the year, used Nano to make some full-body versions, then matched their armor, and finally combined them into one shot. Happy with the result, but could probably skip the full-body step and the armor-matching step next time to save credits.

that's frustrating. some of use have had issues with intercom depending on which browser/extensions we use. for instance I think Safari interferes with it somewhat. I'm glad you found a solution though!

Sometimes I inadvertently activate filters in my prompts. Then I take it to the GTP chat and ask them to modify my prompt so that it doesn't activate any filters and contains fewer than 1,500 characters.

Hey Cordy, are you using a Character Reference image? I've found that sometimes certain phrase don't work with Character Ref even though they are not NSFW. The prompt may work fine standalone but not with a ref image. I'd try to zero in on any potential edgy words and remove them one-by-one and attempt again. I know this uses credits, but it will help you figure out where the trouble spots are. Hope this helps!

I already lost the membership but... been trying directly in Google AI site and all my generations keep failing and looking weirdly overlapped, so I was thinking that maybe I should try with Leonardo again, just... in case it's working good there still

The image reference options available for Leonardo's models varies between the models, most have some form of image referencing.
Which model are you referring to?
