I often get incomplete images, and I have tested it with my app. I developed an app for Banana right after it came out. and my app gave me the full image same prompt

Sometimes it fails for me, but it's not always like that, as someone else mentioned before, it's around 50/50

When you say "incomplete images", can you clarify? Are they failing mid-generation, or only displaying part of the image? It may be the same thing I saw the other day, where it just displays the images at a square aspect ratio in the feed, but if you click it you can see the full image. Hopefully that's all it is.

the recent changes to the app's library, at least for pc, broke something very important imo. previously, one could delete an illustration from the preview, and then the next illustration would appear, also at the preview level. now, after deleting an illustration from the preview level, you're returned to the main library page (as on images attached), which turns the whole operation into a nightmare. i used to clean my feed of unnecessary items, wholesale, every evening. now, it's practically impossible.

don't know if this is a deliberate change (if so, it's for the worse) or an unplanned error.

a question for those more knowledgeable: where's the best place to file a complaint?

If you dont have any images there apart from ones since you logged in today you might be on a new account

basically thats right, yes.
once you run out of tokens in your budget, you can still generate. settings and such no difference whatsoever. in my experience it takes about 3x longer to generate. but it may be even quicker by now.

HOWEVER, it does not include external models like Nanobanana and Veo3. and I'm not sure the exact rules for video. but images are fine.

thats a known thing, I assume, since i've had it myself on so many occasions. if the most recent generations were deleted, they sometimes still display as "loading". its funny when you open Leo the day after and see a job that was apparantly loading for 24h 😅

i have not tested this. but i hear if you use a blank image with jsut the aspect ratio you want as the first image ref, then the banana will use that aspect ratio.

I've been messing around with FFMpeg because you can just use an LLM and describe an effect that you want and get close to it with a little trial and error. It's fun because you can kind of program things that would take more steps elsewhere.
