Hi. Content reference will copy the 'shapes' from the image provided. If there is agood visible contrast between e.g. human and background, then it will create that exact pose. If the colours / borders are too smooth, theres a chance it wont see the borders properly.

Tattoos, i dont think it will copy those just by itself. Youd best add in your prompt what tattoos you want to see and where.

It works in any setting/model, but since you want to create something cartoon, i'd recommend using some kind of anime or illustrative model. (And/or specifying that in your prompt)

We had a very similar question from someone yesterday and I found that image-to-image on 0.65 strength worked well. Then make sure your prompt and other settings specifiy the cartoony style. The 'Toon' element might work nicely as well.
