This was Anime XL or Albedo. Probably tried many. I had a complex idea where Char is in a lotus position with his hands doing magic. That was difficult...

I still had to use Phoenix for it, but I struggled with the prompting. I thought it couldn't do anything as great as Anime XL in terms of visuals, so I used it to create a complex scene and then used image guides in other models.

As for the canvas, I tried it but got a lot of weird results. Probably need to explore it more at some point.

Sure. But it was a crazy task to make the character not only show them, but also hold an object/have hands in a defined pose.

one thing that works really nicely is to use phoenix to create the image, and then use it as a content ref in albedo or anime xl. you can also try using the shiny images you like in anime or albedo as style reference with phoenix

I was lazy to find an existing reference for my pose, so I used image to image from Phoenix, concentrating on preserving other details that were important as well as the hands that were needed.

The end result was actually very similar to your it terms of hands. The fingers were mostly hidden. I'm glad I got some seeds that deviated from the original position. The original just had too complex a hand position for other models.

Now I think I gave up on Phoenix at that point and should have done a better job with the prompt wording. I struggled to get Phoenix to do anime style as stunning as Anime XL and thought Phoenix was something more about great adherence for a price of creativity. But recently I got an incredible result that proved I was just using Phoenix wrong...

I actually bought a monthly subscription for the first time, was happy with everything, and now I'm thinking about Midjourney to compare.

I am certainly not an expert and have not tried it, but compared to Flux schnell, Flux dev; Dall-E 3 in chatGPT and the new Phoenix it shows itself many times better than them.
What is Midjourney compared to Phoenix, does anyone have experience comparing them?

Only from comparing the prices of the cheapest plans, Leo comes out with 10-30 more pics, which is an absolute win for me . Just curious what is MJ in comparison in terms of quality, adherence, text etc.

one thing you could do is use the staff for content reference, the creature for style reference, and then you could add the new staff image back using editor.

I used the creature when I did it on content reference when I had subscription

But I’m talking about the same color as the creature

The color is off

And I don’t have subscription trying to save enough then

okay, I understand. well, in that case what you can do is go into editor, and pick up the colour from the creature with the eyedropper, turn the opacity down pretty low, turn down the inpaint strength a fair amount, and paint over only the staff using sketch

although it looks rather cool to be different colour, almost like it's a void staff

actually I used to have a leonardo.ai sub, back when it first came out, and I kept it for almost a year until I got side tracked with other things and didn't have time

I was thinking about subbing again, but I noticed the moderation filter has become so invasive and abusive that you can't do even the most basic images

for example, here's prompt I tried:

two cute young women kissing at night in a park overlooking a city, one woman has off the shoulder sweater and black hair, other woman is taller and has light brown hair, taller woman has asian features, shorter woman has georgian features, shorter woman is wearing suit jacket

I like doing things with people in it, and if that's impossible because of the filter I don't know if it's worth the money

it literally said like something about children or something insane

I've tried all kinds of things but I keep getting the filter on very SFW stuff of people

the filter is much stricter on free mode, unfortunately, due to abuse. With the paid sub, there are still false positives, but you can report them, and it's AI based, so sometimes even just resubmitting works
