Hi. I need to select the best model for editing my image, that matches the kind of image that's being edited. It is an uploaded image. Is there some place where I can browse the different kinds of images generated from the various models offered?

Hi there, if you switch the UI to Legacy mode (top right of app) on the image generation page,
then click the model select drop down menu, and click "Select Other Model", this will show all available Models,
select a Model, and it will show examples made with that Model, in the below field, see pics:

You'll also see a "view more" tab on the right for each Model

My canvas editor is flickering and going batty. i try to clear the canvas and things are still present after zooming in and out they reappear. I clear several times, then exit, then load new image, then more flickering and old stuff from previous session come back. it's buggy

It seems like setting canvas editor to Outpainting works better when trying to fill-in large deleted spaces in the middle of an image. Does that sound right?

For inpainting, the model considers other parts of the image, but how can I make it ignore considering some spots. I'm trying to get it to inpaint the surrounding clouds between a horse's legs, but it just keeps adding more legs.

For inpainting always use the masking tool or you can change to "sketch2img" for finer editing

I'm using masking too. In Gimp, I cut the horse out of its original place and moved it to another area. Now, after uploading it, I want to make it blend back into the background (sky). I mask all the blank/transparent areas as well as the around the moved piece. But, it draws extra legs instead of sky and clouds. Is there a way to prompt it better?

If its generating extra legs, the AI must be seeing them already somewhere in the Edit box, you may need to change the edit box position or dimensions so no legs are inside its perimeter,
otherwise try changing Canvas to the Infinite mode and edit/blend the image there first, then switch back to Focus mode for finer edits

It's impossible to keep the legs outside of the edit box since I'm trying to inpaint between the legs. It's generating extra legs right next to the legs. I'll try focus mode.

Can't make it small enough. Please tell me, does the model recognize what the uploaded image is that I am editing? I tried entering "legs" in the negative prompt but that didn't work. I'm not sure if it recognizes the legs of the horse.

Sort of, it scans what is in the Edit box and references it in combination with any prompt words given

I would suggest changing to scetch2img mode, and with the pen tool "color dropper" select the sky color,
then color in the area to be changed to sky,
this will be more accurate, especially if you open "Override Defaults", and reduce the "Mask Radius".

I'm confused about something else now. I thought it was only going to inpaint under the masked area. But it just filled in the entire transparent area in the edit box when I only masked a small area for testing. So, what does the masking do?

Masking is more for use over existing image content,
that way by changing the inpaint strength, the AI can reference what is under the mask a lot or a little depending on the setting,
this is useful for when you want only a slight variation change,
otherwise leaving it at full 1.0 it will ignore the underlying image and gen something new just from the prompt info.

Not really. Thats all you need to know. Mickey mouse is owned by disney for example. Sure you can generate images of him and post them around. But if you put him in 'questionable situations' and spread those images around, you might get an unhappy reaction by disney. 🤷‍♂️

Its your image, but its their character in it, and maybe they just dont want to see him high-fiving Spongebob Squarepants 🤷‍♂️

I've spent hours making Japanese yokai creatures and spirits, but I find it hard to get the tool to create anything random or more creature like... 😄 the tool also tends to add people in my images when i've told it not to

you might want to try using Edit With Ai ✨ to tweak your prompt a bit.

You might also try our new foundational model, Phoenix. it does a very good job of following prompts accurately. it's still in a pre-release stage, so not all styles are covered, but they've also just added some cool new tools like style reference.

I believe it depends on whether you are on a free or paid plan. If you are on a paid plan, you own your content, although if you make it public it may be used by Leonardo and their users (for instance it may appear on the main feed). If you are on a free plan, the images you generate will be the IP of Leonardo.

Last question, I am sorry you probably answer those 10 times today alone, but what do I do with my Datasets? I've made one with 40 images, can I use it to help the tool?

datasets can be used to train a custom model, but before doing that, I would recommend working with the mentoring team, as the process is a tricky one to perfect. basically the dataset can be used to create a textual inversion model, which means basically it injects a keyword of your choice into the base stable diffusion models, and uses the AI to analyze the dataset to understand what that keyword represents. it works best if the dataset is very consistent in regard to whatever you're wanting to add into the mix.

however, a lot of users have found that with the different image guidance tools available with our XL models, the custom finetuned models are not as needed.

I think this was from huggingface, basically about how this type of finetune works. You teach it one keyword (in the image represented by S*), and it looks for patterns in the images. It can do styles as well as objects, but you have to be extra sure that there's a detectable pattern in the input images. One of my early custom models was supposed to create bioluminescence, and instead it mostly created floating nightmare ghouls haha

It's a problem from the training data. Sometimes "watermark, signature, logo" in the Negative Prompt will help, but not everytime....

thats a common problem. adding a negative prompt "signature, watermark, name" helps a good bit at avoiding it, but depending on what you're generating, it can still happen frequently.
Luckily you can remove it very easily in Canvas 😉
