my favourite moment was when an elderly man came to my husband's office needing help with his account, and he did not speak any english. I was able to copy/write out just enough to give him information on his account that solved his issue. and he was so kind, it was such a positive interaction, it is one of our favourite memories. I would really like to find time to learn more

we are in canada, in ontario. most people in my area speak at least a bit of french. but we also have a very multicultural community. the asian and particularly the chinese community is very positive and supportive here, which makes it possible for and older gentleman like this to live here and do well, although he does not speak english.

I really enjoy these aspects. My dream would be to learn many languages, to interact with many different cultures

I have had good success with the style of learning from the rosetta stone courses, too, although they are expensive. the best results I got though were with learning a bit of hindi, because I could watch lots of movies to improve my recognition 😂 now I just have to get over my shyness of speaking it 😂
