A tip for new users... something I keep forgetting to do.
If you have unlimited relaxed images, so when your token run out it goes negative but you can still generate but at a slower pace (higher tier subscriptions)
Your tokens reset daily to 150
Use them on the Universal Upscaler because once the token get tooo low you can't use it. (30 tokens equals 5 upscales a day)
Once you've used up the tokens on the Universal Upscaler you can go onto using your relaxed tokens.

Dunno if this will help any others such as myself as I took a few days to realise this, even though I still forget.

I now moved all my AI stuff to Leonardo AI but I have old images still in files from the old sites I used, and I put it through their upscaler before putting it through another one I have to get the best fit for me.

Time to time I am on Free tier (now on Paid) based on my needs. This new change of Terms is really terrible news for me to use Leonardo further. It requires me to use it Paid always (in order to keep my Intellectual Property belong to me only) and this is not convenient for me which my workload is changing and sometimes I use the services freely with low workload. (If you are on Free tier, bad news: you no longer own your own input-outputs)

Thus, this new Terms say: "go find a better AI-Image Generation Service" and I assure you that there are services with terms suitable for me and similar image generation quality. If you want us to go, I have to migrate to elsewhere.

I advertised Leonardo (as a Game Developers Community founder) for a long time for its convenient Terms and suitable platform. I think I have to inform them about this new change.

what changed exactly? I think it stays like this since introduction of public private tier. Because any public content you have no means to protect material for reproduction (copyright) anyway. The one you have for free tier is commercial use which I think they did not change, did they?

Assigning rights of all our Outputs to Leonardo is the problem, even if we made small changes (70, 80 or 90% image to image) or fixed an image we already own in Canvas Editor. So Leonardo will get ownership to everything ("will vest in Leonardo upon creation" see: article 8.7).

I didn't read a commercial revoke or non-commercial part yet. But this above change is the last step towards that direction. Leonardo was very friendly for commercial works for artists or developers, as our input and output belonged to us. Now it is changed.
Because, if you generated something as Output in Public still belonged to you, because you generated it with your input, maybe you used some image to generate it. It is your Intellectual Property. Now, what you generate can be used by anyone (You transferred your rights to Leonardo in the Terms). I can steal your images as they are all rendered "public use" and use them in my Commercial projects, this is wrong.

If you read articles 8.3 and 8.7, there is a striking contrast.

Copyright, the right to protect from reproduction or reuse, you have none. Since your image is public, period. I’m not sure any legal term update but that is what I understand the term since their introduction of tiers (literally or implicitly I could not tell from my memory).

I don't like the way you are attempting to educate me this matter now. If you need to know how Intellectual Property works, there are a lot of articles on that. I suggest you reading them.

In summary, you cannot use anything that you see Public because they may belong to someone unless explicitly mentioned (or known, such as melody of Mozart as after 70 or 100 years, intellectual works enters into public domain). The words I wrote here are my Intellectual Property. I don't need to say it they are mine, as long as my name (or username) is attached to it. Do you have a book you wrote and worry about copyright thieves? Send yourself an email with your book attached or in text body with date on it. Done, it is yours and nobody can steal or declare ownership.

So please don't try to tell me what is copyright, or what copyright I have none, you are wrong and you don't possess knowledge on that based on what I read from the little you wrote. Period. I simply don't like the new Transfer of All our rights to Public which was ambiguous/undefined (so the ownership was on us) before. And I have right to complain here kindly as a paid user.

But, as Leonardo states and declares "transfer of licences" and the sentence (If you are on one of our free Subscriptions (Free Subscriber), as between the Parties, ownership of all Intellectual Property Rights in any Output you, or your Authorised Users, create while using the Platform will vest in us upon creation)
then this is concerning and this is game changer.

After this moment beyond, you are no longer owner of your content with your username. You were owner (You are wrong on that - we had full copyright). Now we no longer have copyright on Free tier (as we hit confirm, sign it), we have to be on Paid tier as stated in 8.3 for that. There was no such terms before. Now there is.

It is only said Paid Subscriber. As long as you pay (little or more) I don't think there is a problem. But when you don't pay and you generate something, those you generate are owned by Leonardo from now on. You can use them commercially still, but other people can use too.

Yes, I have seen it too, so I am escaping to directions safer. I fear if I will have to run my own trainings at the end. It requires a very good computer, I had installed Stable Diffusion to computer in the past, it generates images very slowly in a regular PC, so I had found Leonardo. I don't want to return back to old scenarios. But now, I found an alternative to Leonardo, just it will be difficult to adapt (I am one of the earliest users of Leonardo, I feel comfortable in Leo), but let's see.

I sent an email to Leonardo team complaining this matter, I hope they revise the Terms. Seriously, they can lose a lot of users who are here for professional reasons. After Free use I bought Paid tier. I return back to Free when workload is low, buy Paid tier again when it is high. I need a platform that I can use continuously without problem or headaches.

It is enjoying its great tools (like Photoshop) by dominating the market, that's why they behave ugly. I think it is allowed, it generates a prompt itself, but you can still make adjustments to it if you ask me. It is all so vague and unclear at times.......... ...you look for a picture on the internet and you use it, and from that picture he makes a promt that is almost the same in terms of colors. That's why I make the color differently, but you do use the chosen promt that has been made and you can you can see the difference, only the color is different
