Anyone else having issues with the tweaked 'image prompt'? ...previously, before they moved it - I could subtly adjust the original photo with a high strength weight of around .9 - but since they moved it I'm getting wildly different images (that do resemble the original somewhat) - but are waaaaaaaay off the original image - even with a strength of 1.0

You could keep it simple and put..

You don't necessarily need to get overly descriptive.
But if you want something specific, the more descriptive you are, the better.

Example here. It's taken me half an hour just to try and get it to remove the windows on the left...and in the end I had to do it manually with Photoshop. Candles? That's an illuminated light source. Imagine walking into a 19th century property that hasn't been lived in. It would have zero light sources in areas in the upper floors. Corridors/landings with no windows. It would be pitch black. THAT is the ambience I'm going for...yet it keeps inserting light sources

I was quite literal. And yet it's lit up like a Christmas tree!

If you don't want light in your image, then you should put light in your negative prompt. If you put the word light in your prompt, even if it's saying no light, it'll make light because it sees that word. Also, making a totally dark image is difficult because of lack of training data - there are few pictures without light, for obvious reasons, so it will be harder to make such an image with AI

I've done all that Max. Tried everything. Still doesn't work mate. The thing just refuses to effectively 'listen' to the prompt and persists in inserting windows and light sources into the scene. Even going into Canvas, highlighting the window, putting in negative prompts about light and windows and just leaving the main prompt blank doesn't even do anything...it just puts in a new window.

Even using the word 'dark' and every connotation of the word does not make it create darkness in the same way you say using the word 'light' makes it create light.

Done it by hand now anyway. Wasted enough time on this thing.

I know how frustrating it is when picture just doesn’t seem to generate exactly like we have in mind 🤣 (I know.. I broke the damn thing trying to generate a complex scene back in April hehe)

As Max said, some type of scenes just don’t have enough training exemples (like an abandoned pool with green water for example) and a stable diffusion based generation system don’t understand the meaning of phrases: it takes the words and associate them with “labels” linked to training data.

I’ve done a couple of guides at the start of the year on how to use free online resources to edit pictures that are almost there but not quite.

So you can take one that’s near what you want and change the lighting, remove a small window, paint over a light bulb, etc

That means you have a word (or combination of words) that might lead to image generation that breaks the terms of services.

Check for mention of blood, violence, children, “moody”, etc…

Sometimes it can be a false positive (ex: toddler eating a blood orange)

Yeah I get better results on Canvas where I've made small adjustments, saved it and reloaded that and then done the same, it generates it darker and removes more and more light but the ambient light still persists throughout. No way of removing that. Had to use Exposure controls in Photoshop to simulate the darkness that way.

I don't know what you mean by 'test commands' but no you can't determine a specific session to be changed. You can potentially use layers, but I haven't tried doing that yet, so I don't know enough about it.

Depends on what kind of art style you want, if you want to get cartoon-ish style you can go with Dreamshaper Model and if you want to generate realistic-ish style you can opt for RPG, Deliberate, Absolute Reality, Photoreal

Though you need to note that it won't be easy to get accurate results if you are trying to generate specific characters.

I’d got the hang of combining my own finetuned models with image prompts when images were added on the left hand panel. Since the updates I’m really struggling to get even ok images. They’re bad even with the standard models, so I don’t think my models are the problem. Does anyone have any tips or know of good tutorial videos?

@hasty root I don’t think it’s the models because I’m getting similarly bad results from the main models too. I’m having trouble with the new image prompts. It just worked much better for me when I could simply add 5 images on the left which had similar composition for what I wanted, then the model and prompt took care of the style. I’ve tried lots of variations but the new options seem a lot worse, though from their titles they sound like they should be an improvement. So far the edge one is best. Pose should be the best for what I’m trying to do today (drawings of monkeys) but I wonder if it only recognises human poses?
