yea with hands you can be as specific as you want in prompt and negative prompt, but the AI will still struggle. but thats where Canvas can come in handy 🙂

Quick Guide to setting up a Leoonardo Account

2. Log in at www,leonardo,ai
3. Generate images

The biggest thing to remember about canvas is it works opposite of PS. Choose the model, turn off outpaint, mask what you want to change, write a prompt for what you want to do, and then generate.

Or you can change it to sketch to image and draw a basic hand. Doesn't have to be perfect or even near it. The AI will do the rest.

ah okay at 1st i didn't get when you said choose model, then i saw in the settings and got it ... but i used photoreal and that is not there in the drop down list , then i switched off outpaint, tuned up the Render Density placed the square on the deformed hand masked it and prompted Male Hand followed as per the video link provided by Thom so was experimenting around , the result i got was more deformed fingers and thought that ai is i guess struggling to get it right at times

Sorry, I misunderstood. I believe 1536 is the largest generation resolution, but I also think you can upscale multiple times with Leo as well. Not quite sure what the cutoff is. Anyone else have that?

That counts as a kind of upscaling doesn't it?
Like, the initial image goes into alchemy and comes out bigger?

2304 isnt a resolution, but the highest dimension you can get is 2048 if you put one of the dimensions (or both) at 1024 and then enable High Resolution. High Resolution is not the same as an upscaler but it does produce higher resolution images (that you can upscale afterwards)

But I guess turning down the input resolution to 1024 and turning alchemy high res on would get me 2048 like you said.

Dont know about the first question, but you can't upscale a picture multiple times. Technically you can upscale an upscaled image again if you use img2img on 0.9 strength and then upscale the resulting image, but since your upscaled image loses quality when you put it in img2img (where the settings have lower max dimensions than what the upscaled image already is), it's not really worth it

Oh actually you're right, I forgot that Alchemy increases the dimensions even if you're not using High Resolution. I don't think one way is better than the other necessarily- as it says in the description of High Resolution, it produces slightly different images

Alchemy will have multiplier by of selected resolution. Without high res is 1.5x, and with high res is 2x

But @sick python a good tip if you want your final image to be a large dimension is the following: start by generating in a smaller dimension, and then use an upscaler. This saves you on tokens because generating with Alchemy on the highest dimensions get SUPER expensive, and it also prevents the issue of double limbs / extra people that you often get when you use a too high resolution.

That method is generally better and cheaper than generating a super large base image. Unless you want to have a really large image where you first have a size 2304 and then upscale it as well which will get you a really large image

I agree! If you find an image you love that you want to keep the face on... dl the image as is and go to "upscale.media". Free upscaler with lossless quality. I've had to use it a number of times when all of Leo's upscaler's would change the image too much.

The dimensions of the training images do not effect the dimensions you can choose for the images you're going to generate. The maximum base dimension (not counting upscales) for non-Alchemy images is 1536, for Alchemy the max is 2304.

Note that this is not a Yes or No answer because it's not as simple as that in this case 🙂

I think Text to Image needs a new feature like Continuous Prompting, for example. If you prompt a image you can prompt again on that image and it "remembers" that image, then you can based on that image request the same image to then update according to your next prompt.

Example: Look left, look right, turn degrees etc, this will make it possible then to make 3D models if you can rotate the image all the way around quite easily.

This is probably the only thing Text 2 Image still lacks, but it's likely the way forward to advancing AI image generation.

It should be 100% possible, as i saw AI make a mistake in video generation where it had no data on the full rotation of a head but it managed to rotate a head complete 360 degrees and generated the expected outcome, didn't happen for the body but this means that it's entirely possible to do this.

Spice up as needed. I can suggest you do some generations on the web app also to try in real time what keywords work(or not) for your use case.

• The difference in models, I believe there's about 19 of them, but I think there are probably more.
• When these models are best used?
• What kinda of output can we expect from each model.

Scheduler:

• What is a scheduler?
• How it works and how does it affect the image we trying to generate?

Alchemy, PromptMagic V2 & V3:

• what are the differences?
• why we should or should not enable them?

Settings like PhotoReal are quite self-explanatory but some of these are really complex and I have no idea what it meant.

We could definitely go on and explore, but it would be best if there could be something to refer to, at least we know where we are going with these settings.
