yay! I have a method named for me! I saw this discussion and I was like "oooh yes that's the way I do this!" and turns out you noticed too!

It works best when you have simpler colours and good contrast, basically something that's already compatible with pixel art, but the alignment is off. but it's good to experiment. if the image doesn't have too much going on, it can work even if it started out as more photographic. but if it has a lot happening, the result can look like soup 😂

yay! yep, this is the method I use. I have an automated process to do this, but it can also be done with any image editor. Either using nearest neighbour resampling, or with no interpolation, depending on the software. same thing basically, just different language lol

an algorithm that outputs PIXEL PERFECT pixel art!!!
It first generates the prompt with Leonardo Lightning XL
Then it inputs it to the Pixel Art model with 0.5 strength
Then it inputs that pixel art result into my nearest neighbor convertor and BOOM pixel perfect pixelart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can zoom in as far as you want, every pixel is perfect, nothing is deformed
