New players always learn from High power players. And High power player mostly use pikeman (Laird and Yvette) as a main army. That's why they also think pikeman are good so Leif Eriksson are good. I also do the same thing when I'm new i always notice which hero high player use.

And some players Don't use to much money on the game that's why they choose Gregory as a secondary commander for healing troops( Skill Drumming Disturbance) and choose a epic level hero as a main commander like Ivor and Cecia . I'm not saying that they are bad hero's but legendary look good.and they are better then epic
