i quit this game a couple years ago because i got sick of seeing the same W classes just constantly dominate solos and nothing has changed, its even worse. the balancing in this game is atrocious - i just dont get it. ive been run down by a barbarian in every single solo HR game ive played, and if it isn't them it's been a warlock taking half my health with 1 curse not counting the dot or 1 shotting me with BOC, or your typical fighter just using sprint. They all have 20k+ kits. I literally only see barbs, fighters, warlocks and the occasional rogue. It's wild.

At this point extracting good gear feels like putting money into a savings account I can never withdraw from.

Squire Royale is basically:
spawn default kit → survive PvP chaos → extract amazing loot → place it into permanent stash retirement.

Meanwhile the dungeon still feels incomplete without meaningful HR progression and actual endgame goals.

And while TPM, Secure Boot, and HVCI definitely make cheating harder, they also clearly haven’t eliminated cheating entirely.

So now older incompatible hardware players are locked out of HR while the anti-cheat arms race keeps rolling on anyway.

Please reconsider the TPM / Secure Boot / HVCI requirement changes so HR can come back and my stash can stop functioning like medieval banking.

spawn default kit → survive trio PvP → extract amazing gear → immediately place it into long-term storage because HR still doesn’t exist.

Meanwhile the game still feels like it’s missing its actual progression loop without meaningful HR farming and endgame content.

And while TPM, Secure Boot, and HVCI absolutely help against some cheating, they also clearly haven’t magically solved cheating entirely.

Traditionally, heavy armor classes are supposed to trade mobility and versatility for durability. But in Dark and Darker, Fighters can:

Win melee trades

Pressure at range

Chase people down

Casters struggle if pressured

Barbarians are kiteable and limited at range

Druids sacrifice consistency for versatility

I’m not saying Fighter shouldn’t be tanky. I’m saying the class currently has too much:

Too much survivability

Too much versatility

Too much consistency

Too few punishable weaknesses

A class should not simultaneously be the safest, tankiest, and one of the most universally effective picks in the game.

I understand a barrage of magic would turn a Fighter around pretty quickly, however Fighter can still out trade in this regard as well. They can do damage from further away.

TLDR: I am forgoing any interactions with PDR Fighter, until something is done about the class at a base level. It is egregiously strong across the board.
