if you go in bios and change overclocking settings, then run the pc with overclock, yea you'll brick a pc.
But if you go in there and change settings you came in there to change, worst case senario you're have to reset the bios. Which is often just a button on the motherboard, or a battery you have to remove them put back.

99.9% of the time, you're not going to change a bios setting and then your pc breaks.

If you reach a point that you need to disable things you dont use anymore, I would probably do a factory reset if you can.

@proven bolt there are other things you need to consider. if you enable secure boot and you have TPM and the key is not registered, you can get locked out of booting into your bios unless you have a USB drive. if his drive is encrypted and you enable secure boot and the key isnt registered correctly, you will lose access to your hard drive. you would think that this would be a simple operation but if the kid doesnt know what hes doing and its not HIS computer and the parent doesnt have the time or inclination to engage with it right now, then its safer to wait.

Simply knowing your motherboard model (Hit Win+R, Type "msinfo32", motherboard model and BIOS version), go to google and look up those settings on that specific version and model. something like "Secure Boot B650 Eagle AX" or "HCVL B650 Eagle AX". See if you get results.

Day 14 without High Roller…

Squire Royale has officially turned me into a dungeon historian.

Ruins still spawns both boss modules.
Crypts still spawns its boss module.
And every time I walk into one it feels like the game is saying:
“Look at all this PvE content you’re not allowed to enjoy anymore.”

Meanwhile the actual gameplay loop is:
spawn naked → get hunted by trios → extract gear → realize the gear has zero long-term value because next match is default kit simulator again.

The only surviving boss is Demon Overseer in Inferno, assuming I survive enough nonstop PvP and circle collapse chaos to even reach floor 3 with my sanity intact.

Please revert the TPM / Secure Boot / HVCI change so HR can come back and these boss modules can stop feeling like abandoned landmarks from a better era.

Usually works for me. You have to be very close to them, but not to the point where your shield is inside their arms, because then the hilt of their weapon don't hit your shield.
If you are just close enough, you can block them the moment they begin the actual swing

Yup, the hit boxes of the weapons won't collide then.
Just remember you don't actually need to block the head of the halberd, if you are close enough, you can block the attack by having the hilt hit your shield.

Buckler is just good becuase it allows you to quickly attack after.
