Why are TPM 2.0 / Secure Boot / HVCI required for normal High Roller and Arena, but not for Squire Royale—the PvP battle royale, trio-forced, one-team-takes-all mode?

That mode forces constant PvP and pushes everyone into a small circle just to survive and extract. It’s zero risk with everything to gain, and it’s where cheating matters the most. Yet it’s wide open, while I’m blocked from playing normal HR that I actually enjoy.

This change to HR just doesn’t make sense. Revert this stupid change and allow me to play the game I so desperately love and been playing since p2.

in your bios is your boot priority set to the drive/SSD with the EFI boot partition?

if its not and your boot mode is set to UEFI standard and you turn off CSM it will just not boot and your pc will blue screen

if csm is the only thing stopping you, you should be fine you just need to figure out how to get your pc to boot without it. its something to do with UEFI mode and legacy mode

If Windows was originally installed while CSM was active, it may have created a legacy bootloader instead of the required UEFI EFI partition, even on a GPT drive. You must manually create or repair it.

If your PC crashes or won’t boot when turning ON Memory Integrity (for Dark and Darker High Roller), check your BIOS version.

I had the same issue:

• System would crash with ACPI.sys on restart
• Couldn’t keep Memory Integrity ON
• Tried drivers / Discord / OBS fixes (didn’t solve it)

👉 The real fix was updating my BIOS

My board was running a 2019 BIOS (ASUS X570), which isn’t fully compatible with newer Windows 11 security features.

After updating BIOS:

• No more ACPI crashes
• Memory Integrity stays ON
• Game works perfectly

💡 What to do:

1. Check BIOS version (msinfo32 → BIOS Version/Date)
2. If it’s old (like 2019–2020), update it from your motherboard manufacturer
3. Then enable Memory Integrity again

⚠️ This seems to be a firmware issue, not just drivers

Headshotting someone does a ton of damage. Hitting them in the limb does a lot less damage. You can manipulate your character's body by looking straight up and down.

Why are TPM 2.0 / Secure Boot / HVCI required for normal High Roller and Arena, but not for Squire Royale—the PvP battle royale, trio-forced, one-team-takes-all mode?

That mode forces constant PvP and pushes everyone into a small circle just to survive and extract. It’s zero risk with everything to gain, and it’s where cheating matters the most. Yet it’s wide open, while I’m blocked from playing normal HR that I actually enjoy.

This change to HR just doesn’t make sense. Revert this stupid change and allow me to play the game I so desperately love and been playing since p2.

the feature is only on newer motherboards, check if you've one with Press [Windows Key] + R or select Start > Run and type tpm.msc, it should say either "TPM is ready to use" and the version number is 2.0 then it is enabled but if it pops up "Compatible TPM cannot be found" then you most likely don't have one in your cpu/motherboard
