"ranger is balanced" - it only is the best class at range, stats scale for melee as well with access to the best melee weapon in game so there is quite literally no disadvantage to playing MELEE as RANGER, with a mobility skill and one shot skill that only ranger has yup. Barb cant one shot anymore but ranger can. makes sense

For a large part I think they try to make it to where the pathfinder is the best and the max demi reward is like the second best so it is a balance between the masses being pleased and also rewarding those who dedicate for the max rank 🙂

Nerfing the riposte when it was already a weak weapon outside of that is brutal, but also nerfing its riposte speed by removing shield mastery takes away what made it good, reversing parries back onto the enemy, and took the entire point of and the unique part of playing longsword fighter away.
