lack of HP scaling and aggressive burn/AOE scaling was resulting in anything but MDR monsters dying in 2-3 indirect fireballs that are incredibly easy to land

was playing HR last night and we had a fully geared wizard that hit me with three indirect fireballs and while it would have just killed me with no chance to respond prior to this patch, the nerf allowed me to actually live and respond

he thought he hit me a lot harder than he actually did and gave up his high ground trying to pursue me, and got jumped by my teammate

i sincerely think Wizard needs help all around because Wizard shouldn’t need to rely on fireballs as the vast majority of their damage output

i think it’s fine to nerf fireballs in the way they have but their other spells need something

Make the spider webs on the ground that lock you in place after you stand in them for a certain amount of time in goblin caves breakable
reduce the range of all hitscan spells with the current state of the games move speeds being so low for every class

The momentum saving jump patch made the game so much worse for ranged classes

A better fix to bosses is simply to bring back FoW. Makes rushing boss harder to do which in turn makes bossing safer. But also doesnt change the risk that you may be 3rd partied while attempting the boss.

Then bring back boss summon items but instead they make a beam of light akin to Shadow of the Colossus which points you towards the boss room. This way, if you really want to farm a boss, you still can find the boss room regardless of FoW.

And then replace "find X module" quests with explore X unique modules" quests

Personally, I feel a lot of the monsters on water map have odd attack patterns that make them hard to take out without taking a little damage. Mermaids slash at you and lunge forward into your body, making the 2nd hit harder to dodge (less bad now that underwater mobility is increased). the knife pirate, bow pirate, crossbow pirate has moves specifically for when youre up close kinda like frost archers but worse lol.

in my opinion, any screen that shows gold cost, should also show the amount of gold you have.
an example of a shortcoming: when scrapping items in a tab, you can't see a gold number anywhere unless you swap to the character inventory tab.
It's quite easy to drain gold this way, only being alerted to low gold due to not being able to continue scrapping, which often leaves you with less than the minimum market trade fee

I think workshop would be used a lot more, if enhanced items kept the roll.
So for example you could take a green spellbook with +2MH and enhance it into a blue spellbook that has +2MH and a new added statline, rolled randomly
