I think if you haven't played during 2025 its an ok time to at least try out the game again. The health squish + cleric heal buffs last wipe, along with the recent armour pen nerfs to rogue have improved the viability of pdr classes such that fighter, barbarian, and smite dp clerics make up the majority of what you'll see in solos. The movespeed crunch and swing-movespeed-reduction at the start of this wipe means engagements are more decisive. In other words, if you are a ranged caught by a melee you almost certainly will die, but it takes melee slightly longer to reach you and lower hp means its more dangerous for them to try.

I think performance wise from what I've seen in the dungeon personally, Rogue is the worst class right now. They don't have any straight up winning 1v1 matchups, bar any huge mistakes (a wizard wilfully pushing a hide rogue who he knows has hide) and the armour pen nerfs encourages mosquito more. The most effective Rogues I've seen are just the same old landmine on doors or reds.
