Explosion has a 1.75 cast time, with 80 cast speed thats less than a second.

Zap cast time is almost less than half a second with that

Sorc is way more predictable/dodgable. Fireballs are massive, zap is hitscan, hard to dodge. Ranger has bow and arrow speed is basically hitscan in arena range.

lifebloom druid works in arena if you got a solid frontline and someone to protect you from dive. get +3Mag heal rolls on demon grips, demon clads, and a tidal choker. get some vigor rings with +4 MH. deathsteps or lightfoots with big rolls (expensive) to offset the MS lost on your pants. chest and cloak is your choice but i prefer the frost aketon and a tidal cloak (when they come out). staff of gluttony/fairy tome is best

if you dont have the right comp for it, you die for free at the start of the round

That's disappointing, I actually really like the new map and enjoy spending time on it but have not yet solo'd this boss. I got it to last phase but it requires some sort of extrasensory perception to actively dodge the boss, while doing damage, and dodging the fire puddles in that tiny arena.

It won't let you claim quest rewards if you don't have enough room for the items. And they're generous in terms of required space, like ask for two 3x5 spots (like Pavisse) despite granting 2 daggers
