Nah the thing is that its effects arent seen in the drawn out fights and thereby not as much in trio's.

Even though im not a solos player, just conceptually, its effects are going to be amplified in solos especially because the nature of that modes all-in playstyle.

It's fun for who? Just because the game has a block & riposte it doesn't mean its balanced just because you can block. This would only be true if everyone was wearing the same weapon, with the same damage and wearing the same gear. This isn't an arena game.

You have weapons with much larger hitboxes, much higher range, much higher multipliers from the base and different outputs. So the fact that "You can block with everything" just means the game actually gets even more progressively unbalanced because you're literally riposting against someone with completely different HP pools and base Wep. damage.

Any weapon in this game, the higher the base damage, the higher the block value, it's as simple as that. There isn't any any skill involved, your skill is the same and you have completely different output in terms of damage.

Weapons in this game that have high base damage & reach are just superior, its that simple. There isn't enough ASPD or proccs to make smaller weapons viable, nor enough movement speed to actually disengage from large weapons efficiently that you don't lose a trade.

I typically play lots of bard.
I usually use a small one-handed weapon with a lantern or just nothing at all in the off-hand. I trade teammates in fights when they fall to lower health and need to reset. I use the movespeed advantage to stick to opponents, and by doing so I am in the sour-spot (reduced damage) of their weapon since they’re hitting me with the handle.
