I agree, but I feel like this situation doesn't have much nuance. Everyone who has played the game has agreed not to expl0it, with the prospect of recieved punishment if they do. This is fairly common sense nowadays. It is fairly obvious this was an unintended thing by IM, even if incredibly stupid and a massive oversight on their end. Much like real life laws, just because the impact seems low or null doesn't make you exempt from punishment. Similar-ish concept to speeding on an empty road. Although risk and impact is low it doesn't make it any less of a crime.

Although I can see your point that because a rollback was a likely outcome, that doesn't mean the obvious rule breaking is ok. Besides, the punishment is actually quite lenient all things considered. As long as you didn't blatantly attempt to abuse it, the ban is only for a week or two at most.

But there is no way for them to truly glean intent. In an ideal world, sure they could see everyone's reasonings and ban based off of that. But there is hundreds of people that play the game so that is a mountain of a task. And again, the ban was lenient for those who didn't actually abuse it. A three day or week ban is quite insignificant. It sucks if you truly didn't mean any harm by it, sure, but I feel like its not much to complain over.

I sort of get it if your in hell on normals so that you can make HR 1st layer the logical next step after Normal 3, but if you're finding it on first and 2nd layer it's going to be confusing and not coherent with the layer/reward system.

They're more like bugs than movement options. Bunny hopping was a bug that no new player will ever learn naturally. Jumping while casting, etc. makes it difficult to balance cast times and movement speed penalties, etc.

Better to move the skill into abilities like blink, sprint, grappling hook, etc. to have a more understandable combat for new players.

Its actually not that broken. So long as they aren't on top of you, you just get space and fight. Just be ready to pull your weapon out. And idk if it'll be broken at a higher tier of gaming. Most people who are veterans are good at blocking, dodging, and pvp. Maybe just make the cooldown 45 seconds.
