Solos and Duos are back, they added Adventure High Roller, Squires to Riches, and the water map. Population hovering around 5k at end of wipe. I'd say we're in a decent enough spot right now. I've had a lot of fun, if you've been gone a while it's not a bad time to come check things out again.

I'd like Cooking as an option on campfires to upgrade them. For example, anyone who sits at the campfire for its full duration would receive a long duration buff. Or - maybe the campfire doubles the restoration but has half the duration, etc. Things that modify the existing system. So for me it's sort of both? I'd like to upgrade the campfires in the tavern but have the effect apply or be applied in the dungeon.

Perhaps some cooking "recipes" could be found or crafted within the dungeons themselves, but that gets into a larger POI discussion.

Food cooked at a gathering hall could be given a "Homecooked" trait, making it longer lasting perhaps than a dungeon cooked meal of the same type

Or add specific POI's needed to complete quests or cook a specific type of food, something like 'hells kitchen' where you must go to the inferno to be able to cook a specific meal, goblin feast, requiring a goblin bonfire or something.

Could do a lot with foodbuffs & a cooking system, would be the perfect way to add fishing with synergy

I think there's just a risk you lose your kit (or a kit from an earned kill) even with perfect play because you're playing solos. And you can be pushed out of an area by a 3rd party while you need to heal up and that's... just what happens with solos. I think ratting bodies needs to be changed, but it's hard to do that without making it impossible for the 3rd party to loot the body after pushing you off it. And the 3rd party should be able to do that.

That is the issue with Paladin, yeah. If you take away the melee playstyle from Cleric it's just a support caster and absolutely couldn't exist in solos without a lot of additions.

Even when ranged/melee is well balanced the nature of the game is such that it can feel unbalanced on particular matchups. Countless times youll dominate some rounds, then get embarassed on others and to me it looks like just 3 v 3 comp matchups, every class has a counter so no matter how well rounded your squad is there is an ideal counter squad to stomp that team comp specifically

Which im fine with im talking about more in the arena sense - regular dungeon trios pvp will always have a cloud over it because you typically run to find an opponent and the engagement includes toting around 28 shitty white skeletons and 17 slimes you had to run by just to get to the best part of this game which is pvping - cue the school of "well navigating mobs in dungeons while pvping is an art in & of itself" crowd. Arena enthusiasts I think prefer the hyper customization of loadouts & the more pure focus on pvp skill expression in a 1 module setting where the mobs aren't as intrusive (except for a couple of the new arena maps where theres 12 spiders or a wraith and a skele champion wailing on you while you try to fight players)

The tl;dr suggestion I would make to IM, would be for melee mobility skills (sprint, rage, etc) to have low to medium cooldowns and be a slight boost to mobility. And ranged/kiting "Oh Sh*t" button escape skills to be very effective but have medium/long cooldowns. Ranged has the tools to win if they can consistently deal damage to approaching melee. Melee has inevitability if they keep their damage taken down and stay on the chase.

I think people take HR pvp more seriously because there's a lot to gain/lose. Which makes sense. But it's not really designed to be the best pvp the game has to offer. It's free-for-all, there are reds/blues to just leave if things start going south, there's a million doors to run through and close, etc etc. But I think that feeling of HR mattering is why people get pissed about PvE in Arena (the "turn your brain off" mode, to them) but not as much in HR.

That being said I would gladly see mini-bosses removed from Arena. Possibly my cleric bias there, again.

Yea HR is different, the nightmare mobs really can't be ignored in the same way as norms - plenty of times if you pull 2-3 nightmares theye may end up cutting you and the opponent down where no player walks away the winner lol. I'm just not into dropping good items for someone else, im world famous for HR solos in squire and hoping for the best pvp wise. The gear gap is insane though, I can outskill someone ie: hitting them 2-3 times per time they hit me and it's irrelevant if its squire gear vs a full bis kit

Yeah you don't really exist if the gear-gap is roughly 3 quality tiers higher. Really 2 tiers, but at 3 you're essentially not hurting them anymore.

Caveat for Reckless Bardiche Barbarian. 75% armor pen is a hell of a drug.

Some chests are guaranteed to be mimics. Mimic lair also has (not surprisingly) more chances of mimics I think.
Examples are the three chests near the cage with the pressure plate (Wraith + Champ) in the Crypts, or the other module with the Skelly champ and Wraith behind double-doors has two guaranteed mimics.
There's one mimic in the Ruin's Banshee's room, next to the floor spike (the chest in the corner of the gate iirc).

I don't know if those mimics are guaranteed as non-stinkfoul however.
