love water map. they did a really good job with their POI locations. most of the action happens on the diagonal line from top left to bottom right with bladehand, key, midmap ores and piles, expressman and stingray all falling near that line. Finding fights is easy as you know where to look, and avoiding players is as simple as avoidng those hotspots. Loot feels good, though I miss when monsters had better treasure items. There are some pain points with the water, like looting at the surface and getting out of the water, but those are fixable. I hope they add a 2nd layer of underwater cave systems; looks like they left that option available with the central whirlpool abyss

But it looks like their "optimalisation" hotfix from friday (akak. we had AI rework our codebase) might have undone that again. It should depend on weapons too, I get some weapons like halberds and bardiche are already too strong with overhead swings and range but shorter weapons should give you more reward for closing the gap. Against caster Your best bet is to juggle peak covers to force them to waste hp casting and try to make them get into a bad position to get a curse off on you and work on movement to dodge but idk sometimes you can only do so much against that shit. TM warlock used to be so much better too 😭😭😂
