But in that squire royale I was in we came across the target dummies and in melee range I shot one just because and did 70 damage. Decided to see how much damage longshot mastery actually added on per distance so when I stepped back like 2-3 feet and shot again it was 68 damage. Few more feet 65 damage, all the way down to 60.

I tried it out on another dummy and same thing happened. Seems like it does the exact opposite of what the tooltip says and TAKES points away the further away you are.

Ok finished my testing. One thing that came up during the testing though was I was not aware that when you use quickshot in conjunction with Overdraw it does the full damage of all arrows on the initial hit and the followup shots are all just empty animations. Almost kinda feels like a more precise multishot.

I recorded further testing but using all bow archetypes this time. For longbow it seems like all damage for both arrows is hit on the first shot. For recurve it's all damage done in the first two shots, and for surv it's 3. So even if damage isn't crazy then it at least opens the door for animation cancelling to reposition or kite faster.

I tried it getting rid of the faster draw perk and adding close range expert that adds the 3 true damage at close range. It does the same thing where all the damage of quickshot and overdraw is calculated on the first shot with the follow-up shot being a wasted animation. This time however the damage jumps from 179 to 194 with a white squire kit and white longbow.

most of the issue started when you had to move your modem right? so i think it would be that, i dont want to say its your hardware per say. sounds like thats the causation of your issue. id look into boosting your signal as it has to go through your house etc. possibly a stronger router to emit better signal? but if we trying to save money... even little things like pointing your antennas in the proper direction did help me, i had a slight issue with network and that did help and moving around.
