depends on playstyle and bow u wanna go. But most effective is high prio Dex + Str and mid/low prio Agility that you are atleast at 300 ms

I wouldnt waste points on vigor since you are ranger and kiting, shoot and kill them before they reach you, vigor just drains dex or str from your kit

Dex/Action speed and STR/phys power are your main priorities. If solo then agi is higher prio. Aside from that armor pen and headshot dmg scale the best. You should also be getting additional dmg on cloak, hands, jewelry, and weapons

morning star have a bit more reach and the swing patterns are different, im a fan of morningstar even if it swings slower and have more ms penalty as u said. But I can easily kite without backpedaling and give sweet spot hits on a more longer range

That’s not how multi works. The middle arrow is 100% dmg, row to the side 75%, last row 50%. They also changed where you knock the arrows for that skill, it use to register in your mouth, now it does your bow so it’s easy to shoot through people entity collision latency things that didn’t use to happen. Still fun to use, got a ton of kills early / mid wipe but - armor pen and -2 longbow damage it’s not consistent for one shots now

Remove non-conditional defensive perks. Iron Will (Keep Knockback resistance), Anti Magic, and Perseverance are leftover perks from past directions of the game. They don't make for fair fights in the new "vision" of Dark and Darker.

Samurai were much more versed with a bow and arrow, and most knights carried swords for self defense but in times of war would use Poleaxes or javelins, giving them a bludgeoning weapon as a full set of plate armor was designed so well a sword is useless.

So a Samurai would be worse off in melee combat as they were better with bows and a knight would most likely have a bludgeoning weapon and win.

I feel like melee cleric in squire is better than hybrid. Maybe loose trousers, laced shoes, and then riveted or reinforced gloves, padded tunic or adventure, and then helmet. Vigor one. Smite and divine protection will carry you. And morning star and buckler.

Yup me too. I was trying out some builds and that was my go to in squire. Only thing that sucks is lack of range. You could go smite and judgment or judgment and divine protection, but for me smite and divine protection is just too good. Might have to chase someone if they are faster, but thats all good. You should be able to kill easily and or 1v2
