To be fair, shriek of weakness causing bosses to lose 60% pdr was 100% an unintented side effect of the nerfs to low end armor rating when there was a meta for ranger/wizards to run around naked with nothing but boots on. They just never cared enough to fix it

They changed it during a patch in February, those hoards now also apply to s2r (well, the key ones. Boss rooms dont open without a boss)

The Secret Key Rooms and Dual Boss rooms now give improved loot from their treasure hoards, including the chance to obtain artifacts in the High-Roller modes

If the rogue was popping out 10ft away, sure you could run from it. Problem is they're popping out on top of you and have the ambush MS boost, so no chance of outrunning them (plus highest base MS class). The reason you can outrun a sprint ambush is you hear/see them from far away (unless they were in a dark corner on top of you, which is highly unlikely). The distance you can hear some1 changes based on ambient noise & creep ofc, being extremely small when they have the perk (which honestly isnt needed with how bad this games sound overlaying is)

i don't know why it matters that we don't have the exact way it should be reworked, there are certainly options that have been floated before like making it more mobility based, or giving it multiple poisons, or a toolbelt of some sort, etc. you could even just make it more basic by giving them some extra base stats or something. it's obviously not impossible to balance a class without relying on cheese mechanics

I’ve used double jump and ranged. It’s death by 1000 cuts and just abusing heights. It’s not hard but if you run double jump against any decent player you’ll die most times. I know I kill almost every double jump rouge I see and the ones I don’t usually just run away 🤣

Yeah getting landmined at a door sucks. I’ve had that happen like 15 times this wipe and it sucks. If I’m in the room with someone and they aren’t camping the door in the dark then I almost always win that fight against a rouge.
