The game would launch to the loading screen with a loading bar at bottom. i could press ok or something before the bar at the bottom was fully loaded. I waited for it to finish before pressing ok and it worked. my friend had the issue and just spammed it and it finally worked

no its pretty quick. but the shield is able to block hits while you are bashing. so you can bash into their attack on your way to the head. or after you hit them its still blocking while its comming back to you
