Is true damage bugged or behaving weirdly? I think it is being counted as additional damage.

Tried this with Spiked Gauntlets. When hitting a practice dummy the 1 damage is there but it is counted with the normal damage 40 with and 39 without the gauntlets on. What I'm expecting is 39 + 1. Can anyone shine some light on this?

Same goes for Mana Sphere.

with the parry changes, yeh. The gun was the only deadly thing he had, because shield meant short range wepaon (= in slap range). Now that you can block his gun shots without effort with a spear. You can just dance around him while poking. Just got to strafe his little attack jump, but with spear, easy enough to keep space. Unlike spectral, he doesnt really do any crazy shit outside of the projectiles after 80%. The rest is just some basic dance moving

For PvE don't bother putting tanky stats on your weapon. THe plate gear will suffice, put some damage on your weapon, headshot damage % or physial power or even additional weapon damage. These will help you clear quicker.

If its just PVE you don't need much, full golden set is honestly enough, but for stats probably phys power/power, action speed, dexterity/vigor, additional damage for rings

Personally being slow moving, I put 3 dex on every piece of plate gear. Being slow moving and having a low action speed feel bad. Besides that, whatever you feel like you need. I would not invest much on magic resist as almost no mobs deal magical damage. The gold chest piece and helmet are still good tho because of the +1 all attributes. If you feel that you need even more Damage Reduction you could socket some Physical Damage Reduction Bonus (%) but keep in mind that there is a hard cap at 65%. If you want to go any higher you will need to equip the perk for it (forgot the name). It will let you get up to 75%.

Maybe the issue is that chest loot is completely random. Since most items aren't what I need, the excitement of opening them fades.

Also, having to fight monsters every time is exhausting, especially with melee combat. It would be better if we could successfully sneak past them to grab the loot.

Warlock is probably the most gear dependent class in game tbh

If you really wanted to run squire just avoid melee because youre losing any melee fight 100% of the time

So plate demonlock is fun but wont work in HR if you have 0 gear, if youre going full caster that could maaaaaaaybe work if you really outplay someone or if theyre just dumb or terrible at the game

First thing to do as a new player is to get the PVE down and figure out how the questing works. PVE will always need to be either killed or evaded when trying to PVP and the quests are important to start unlocking crafting capability.

PVE mode is a great way to focus on yourself and the mobs before trying to tangle with guys.

Never played dungeonborne but the mobs can punish you if you aren't aware of their movesets. Different colors of the same mob represent different grades and they often have extra moves in their set.

in dungeoborne, the mobs arent very hard, youd usually just one tap them or they are easy to parry/avoid unless its a boss

and even then the bosses arent very difficult that much either, it was mainly just pvp

If you enjoyed parrying the block and parry mechanics are very forward for this wipe and many/most classes have options to effective parry and block options.

well, given the fact that dungeonborne was a fast put together, inferior copy of DaD.... yeah, attempting a boss in DB first time would mean you'll likely win, or at least escape, attempting boss for the first time here usually means you're dead, nightmare mobs are also much more threatening than anything DB had

Load in as a fighter and probably work with a sword and shield till you start to figure things out. You will have unlocked all your perk slots by level 15 which will let you spec your class out. Longsword is the quintesential parry weapon in the game so checking that out is high on your list.

Most weapons have a block that leads into a parry, some are more efficient than others
