Longsword -> Metal = -30Ms
Full plated Fighter = 295 Move speed
Full coth Caracter = 300 Move speed
Fighter -> Adrenaline rush + Second Wind = 330Ms
Barbarian -> rage = 325 Ms
Ranger = 0 Skill for Ms
Rogue = 0 Skill for Ms
Sorc = 0 Skill for Ms

Thats totally up to your budget. You should just try to obtain x amount of stats. craftable gear vs normal gear. but various armor pieces are viable depending what you want to use and what you want to lose. some stack vig, some dont im comfortable around 125 hp some say get 130+

i for example dont do the HS bonus jewelry and perfer just str neck as HS are harder to hit and id rather go for consistent damage

I play a lot of solos, and generally I cannot compete at all in HR against the barbs. Every season is the same: Seems good, fights feel fair and loot in the dungeon is good in comparison to the risk. A month in everyone is rocking BiS and the loot in the dungeons sucks in comparison. BiS really just reveals which class is the most broken currently, while the same problem isn't as bad earlier in the wipe.

Leveling up your squire unlocks better quality gear, upgrading/leveling other traders doesn't add anything to the squire. By the time you've progressed quests on the squire, you're gonna have way better gear than what he offers
