inflation is for sure not due to resources being hugely contested. Theres no pve hr but you have free maps like ice or even water one, also a lot of dead regions so...
devs knew that this wipe would have inflation, they increased x2 the gold you obtain from collector which is the main gold maker, but gemming cost or potions are so low compared to that. Thats why they increased market cap to 100k and all gold cointaners even before opening market

they also lowered the cost of buying new stash pages

If you think about how an economy and inflation works, it is basically the availability of more gold increasing the costs (like quantitative easing), but also contributing to that is the scarcity of resources, and the increase in the number of players.
