If you are chasing without thinking they may want to escape when low Hp and don’t think ahead or position strategically yeah they probably will escape, I don’t think a gate will stop them from eluding that type of w key gameplay you are discussing.

This game is literally all about positioning, look at dodging, attacks, and parries…

I could count on my hands how often I’ve experienced people that retreated into red that should’ve died. If you don’t kill them learn and improve rather than require a gate to give you a free kill and break the point of continuous dungeons.
