generally if you are playing with a weapon that's slow you'd be better off gemming phys power and physical damage bonus and armor pen/action speed

but if you are playing with a rapier you might want to get add damage

additional weapon damage is different though, it modifies the base value of the weapon, usually is more effective in low damage weapons (rapiers, daggers, etc, still a good roll)

the pendants now that I remember get insanely high penetration rolls

So geming it with action speed then penetration is the way to min max pendants

and rings you can go full damage (phys power and physical damage bonus)

or magical if you are caster

for the essences you can get them by killing little turtles that are in the rocks in the blue malestrom

but you can have 0 strenght and still have positive if you gem your rings for it

Panther is already extremely weak as it is.

For potions it checks on your magical healing stat, but let's say it's 0

for a prim pot you are healed 20 (+ 0 * 0.5) over 20 seconds

Then it divides healing between seconds and gives you 20/20 = 1 healing per second

Then that healing per second applies to the effect, if you have 25% buff duration bonus, you'd have it for 25 seconds

and heal 25 health instead of 20 without any magic healing

the dark offering skill that was recently buffed to last for 60 seconds

if they have 35% buff duration it'd be 60*1.35 seconds

they get to keep their crazy buff before resetting
