I mean it consume the shard but doesn't give u something (normally it increase dark magic damage but as it's true damage with no scaling it's useless ) that also mean that un cant reach to 3 shard with shadow touch and soul collector as perk it's sad they really destroyed this class

i think its just because of the magical healing. If youre a healer druid in the backline (not in solos), you dont really need a weapon out at all times, so a staff provides more healing with basically no real downside. You can always have a secondary dagger + crystal ball or whatever if you need to cast while fighting

No, it really isn't. Honestly 90% of my healing comes from the passive.

And what spells I do cast in combat are like. Summon Treant and such. It's honestly easier to just stand in front of an enemy and take aggro than swap to staff to heal

Druid is all about the dots of heals. Use touch or orb then restore and with your passive going thats 3 heals right there. Then use dream fire right on the fight for instant heals. Mending is your oh shit heal

everybody who thinks pen does anything calculate a 50% armor pen build vs a 60% plate pdr fighter and consider all the sources of raw pdr and then compare it to just having a dmg roll.. armor would need to roll more than twice as high on anything to match the power of "phys power rolls" 50% armor pen vs full plate is effectively a 5-8% dmg increase i think .. and fighter has the least raw pdr out of tanky builds except demon.

A lot of players aren’t very good, so they meta slave and gravitate to what’s broken and easiest. So if a class is consistently over performing, it’s because it’s broken. You can make many mistakes on fighter barb and only need to hit one or two hits on the majority of classes. Easy to learn, with a low skill ceiling
