A debate I have with many players on this game evolves around healer classes. So for example I or someone else will be on cleric and maybe we are playing with randoms. We have no proper frontline so maybe we have a cleric, ranger and warlock for example. I encourage the ranger and warlock if we come up against a melee heavy team and they corner or rush us, pull your spear or sword and try and fight as the healer can heal you. Often the person playing the warlock or ranger will just try and kite forever even running behind the cleric so the healer just gets killed easily. Many players I tell this too, the answer is basically it's impossible im not a melee class I have no PDR and a whole list of excuses. But from my point of view if you have a healer healing you, you can survive alot if you try and frontline when you have too. I even get this from experienced players in Arena. What are peoples thoughts on this, from personal experience the amount of times I have made plays on a non melee focused class like Warlock or Ranger even without a healer I don't understand this logic of im not a melee class it's impossible for me to frontline for you..... It boggles my mind how many high level players say this in Arena

You're correct. They could be healed and live, especially in low gear. And no, they won't realize this. To be fair, your job as a support cleric with ranged allies is to always position to create space for them to kite. It's not to expect them to all-in melee while you're healing.

If you're dying while they're free to kite, you're either positioning incorrectly - or you're not geared appropriately for the team that you're playing with.

But the main point you're making that a ranged class will only swap to melee when they're cornered and at 10% HP? That's accurate. In solos (or teamplay without a healer) that is the correct choice for them. Don't expect people to know your class's impact as well as you do.

Ok so most arena matches every enemy has higher rank than the best in my team, so I just go -8 for 10 matches in a row. Fantastic, excellent matchmaking system. I'm done with sdf's junior level coding. I could implement a better matchmaking system in a couple of hours.

Anybody having weird stutters any time they're casting a spell in close quarters with mobs? It keeps getting me cheap-hit and it's starting to get really aggravating.
I have all of my visual settings turned down to the lowest options and the rendering scale set to 80, I have anything process-intensive shut down, and according to task manager the game is only taking 35% GPU and not all of my CPU either
It'll happen when starting to cast a spell, when trying to merge a spell, and even when trying to swing a weapon or sometimes even when just trying to dodge a mob's attack

Ya.. I'm visiting family, I gave them my old pc with 1080 .. 13yo pc atm.
I can start game, play at 1080 with minimum details "kinda" but can't do PvP at all.. just more than few people, using spells and my fps go to trash.
I tried water map and it is chomping a bit harder than everywhere else.. talked about it with a guy we learn bosses from time to time, and he is able to do stingray with me, but bladehand is a struggle for him because micro tears and such.
I really expect it is the design, which is nice but.. if you really look around, there are ropes everywhere, on each is dangling tons of stupid items... fishes swiming just below you..
I tested myself how it differs and looking towards the "wall" which the guy jumps from, it is ok, look other side and it seems like it tries to load all the crap and can stutter.

testing rn to make sure im not lying. 10 min in dungeon, starting xp 1043/1100. ending xp 175/1100.
232 xp gained, divided by 10min. 23.2xp per minute, plus 984 gold earned.
This was in adventure mode normals, might do better in adventure HR.

you're right, you get alot of xp for breaking stuff. you also get good xp for looting good treasure. barnacles might be the secret ingredient

1. Adventure mode goblin caves break all boxes and pots (no looting)
2. Adventure mode ice caves kill mobs and extract (no looting)
3. Normal ruins to inferno kill subbosses, farm rubysilver and extract with purples
4. Normals quick wyvern kill, get froststone & extract

I find it stupid that killing bosses is not worth it for xp. And also, just killing normal mobs is better than subbosses. Some other methods I tried but were not worth:

• fighting players
• double/triple bossing
• valuable chests
• killing mobs & looting them
• any method in HR was worse than normals equivalent

i think if the devs here got together and asked former high rated arena players what they would think or how they should balabce dark n darker you could get a huge following

3v3 wow arena is still one of the best gaming experiences ive ever had, and its like that for alot of wow arena players

my dream for wow was always that i could just hop in and play in a balanced game where you didnt have to waste alot of time on just farming gear which makes it more RNG and luck based, unfortunatley blizzard never cared about their PvP fanbase which is a shame as wow pvp was big back in the day, it had huge potential to become something bigger if they would have their own dev team and made the gear different in states based on if its pvp/pve

easy way to fix PvP in dark would be:
1: Just let everyone have legendary gear which you make yourself(or just revert to how it was recently=

PvE and Arena were both mistakes that allowed people to get their specific fix from the game without having to pay their dues by populating the collective game. It does a dash forwards bite and a standing still upwards bite, strafing to either side is a good way to dodge both, but when it does the standing still bite if you are too close it will hit you cause they swing thier head around like they tearing

cheating in this game is getting a bit rampant, like tarkov levels of rampant. wall hacks and aimbot, could just be PC gaming as a whole but along with the arena changes, it really feels like thers a disconnect with the player base and the DEVS.

The arena matchmaking is low IQ. I could implement a better system in a few hours. Why, when we have 6 players in a game, they put the best 3 MMR in one team and the worst 3 in the other? Sometimes, the best 3 are also a good comp (they have wiz and/or ranger) while the worst 3 are not...
