Armor pen from weak point and thrust make it so their pdr is pretty much 0%

• Same system as before, but it is perma death with no refunds on multiclass tokens, so the random rolls are always interesting and engaging. Sometimes you will get good builds, and sometimes you will not. Either way, the inevitibility of death will keep it interesting
• A single lobby for this game mode with rotating maps (but still with solo, duo, and trio queus).
• A single stash page per character
• SSF
• After character death, you can "bank" one or more options that were rolled for your next run. The amount you can bank is dependent on the level you reached before dying. This gives some roguelike functionality. Alternatively, you could attach the amount of gold this character donated to his religion to the amount of banked options they get, so that extracting with treasure still feels rewarding.
• Quests completed on these perma death characters award additional reroll tokens.
• Devoted leaderboards and rewards for this game mode.
• Possibly mix this with faustian bargain game mode, removing faustian from the base game and including it in this slightly more "wacky" game mode.

The game should have devoted exits for each player when they spawn in. It would prevent this kind of griefing, encourage people to enter different modules than they usually do, and prevent obnoxious gameplay where people never commit to a fight and then run into a nearby extract when they are in any danger.

Barbarian is strong if played well. You will prob get kited early on but it it can steamroll squishes once you learn how to keep up with faster classes

id say druid, wizard, sorcerer, bard, barbarian, rogue are rough in the beginning. you gotta put some hours into it. it can be extremely punishing to make mistakes. fighter and cleric is rather simple and forging. as a warlock you can clear rooms full of mobs you dont even know. it all depends on what you like and how you want to approach the game

i started as a wizard and later i realized how hard i made it for myself. if you really dont like fighter or cleric, then go for ranger or warlock. ranger is not the tankiest class, but it's fun and youll be abld to start out. warlock gives you a lot of variety (caster, no spell melee focused, hybrids forms like bonk or cactus. a warlock can heal off of enemies. a ranger is squishier than a fighter or cletic and cannot heal himself for free. the problem i see with ranger is you gotta learn the swing patterns of mobs and using a bow lets you cheat your way through tje learning process. thats why most ppl recommend fighter: you can block wigh shields, use second wind to heal 40% of your hp, war armor that reduces damage dealth by mobs as well and you csn try out every single weapon in the gsme.

Tbf all classes can work fine in solos. It's just takes some time figuring out what perks, gear, and style works best. Unfortunately it does boil down to rock, paper, scissors sometimes and you have to know which matchups are bad so that you can choose fights and run away when needed

my recommendation is: play a class that lets you learn the game easily and quickly. in my opinion fighter is the best, warlock is the most variety (since you only get to play 1 class). ranger is ok but not the most forging so it's a little harder for you. besides cleric every other class makes it extremely hard for you to learn the basics fast. and learning basics in my opinion is the most important thing for beginners. feel free play a different class and suffer for hundreds of hours like i did :D

This update precisely reverts all the changes meant to adhere to "the vision" and instead gives what the players wanted THE ENTIRE TIME. there were actually bounty quests when they first introduced the quests system like "kill 5 wizards" and it made people crazy lol. People would basically kamikaze dive into groups just trying to kill one of the class they needed and they removed those quests pretty quick lol

Half the time we spawn in late, nearly all mobs are already killed and bosses are being farmed by people and classes that can grief. Ive closed a door as a rogue while being chased then stealthed right around the corner and The entire squad just pushes thru the door then i kill their healer, which i have to stab 4-8 times to kill also, and they come here and cry landmine. Only place i see rogues actually 2-3 shot is in arena or highroller when in all legendaries

if it helps, I used to main rogue back in playtest and first couple seasons before switching to wizard around season 3; I sort of still sneak around like a rogue as a wizard so maybe I'm just hyper aware of where I would ambush from lol, I also run 10 spell with light orb, but have never revealed a rogue with it (havent played since they buffed it recently)

Except you can get kitted up in one game they've made it extremely easy thats not really a good excuse anymore. It used to be a grind. You dont even need that gear just throw on some boof blues and purps chad up and win

Arena makes up about 10% of the playerbase while its open. Thats why you end up fighting the same people over and over. See sdfs graph he posted if you want to argue about it

of DaD is very much ahead content-wise of all competition, however the competition does not require you to have a friend with 1000 hours played or wiki with interactive maps to complete quests, and that's a massive plus for pretty much all competition

DaD has most extensive and most grindy, ambiguous and dumbest questing system of them all, coupled with abysmall drop rates for never spawning rooms, it makes for a dreadful experience for experienced player, not to mention newcommer who will just be confused and lost

there orginally was only 2 cuddle fish on the entire map, you needed 5 of their ink pouches that didnt even have a 100% drop rate. on top of that only one of the two cuddle fish was a guaranteed spawn. Like was the quest and mob spawn made by AI?

its used to be 1 with a chance of 2 cuddle fish spawns they didnt even always drop the item. i did over 150 raids with over 200 cuttle fish kills to get four. Then they changed the quest to be only 1 and added about 30 more cuttle fish spawns
