These weren’t random hires scrambling to make a game they were the original devs behind Nexon's P3 project. They already had the concept, systems, and team chemistry before Ironmace even existed. They didn’t magically come up with Dark and Darker overnight they just kept building what they already believed in without corporate red tape.

Also, the whole “have you worked in game dev?” argument is weak. You don’t need industry creds to see the obvious indie teams move fast not because they’re cutting corners, but because they’re agile. No corporate bloat, no endless approval chains just experienced devs with a clear goal building what they already started elsewhere.

Yes, Ironmace had the agility to get Dark and Darker off the ground fast, because the team already had the vision, experience, and momentum. But now that its live and in players hands, rushing patches would do more harm than good.

Quick dev time ≠ rushing updates forever.
They’re not slowing down because they lost that agility they’re taking time because they understand the cost of breaking the game with halfbaked patches. That’s not contradiction that’s just responsible dev work post launch.

It's still pretty fun, they made the PvE deadlier but also easier to kill. Gear gaps aren't as severe, you can clutch up on most classes even when out geared. There's still some class imbalances but there working hard on making it somewhat even. The last round of nerfs did well to take problem class down a peg.

Someone put it well when they said the game was being developed wide but not deep. They’re focussed on adding more stuff without making the base gameplay better. There’s only one or two max viable builds per class, the newer classes break the game in ways the older ones can’t dream of, and they just think that new levels will fix it. Levels won’t change the fact that the gap between clerics and sorcerers is huge, and they seem uninterested in fixing the problems that are obvious to everyone in the community.

I was just doing goblin caves and a team of a druid, ranger, and fighter with TTV in there name all came up on me. also im kind of late to reply but they make external gpu through thunderbolt connectors, they would add some preformance but not much for the cost, truthfully you can build a desktop with used parts to run this game at 120 fps at 1080p for around 300-400 dollars, you could also play on min settings and lower resolution to improve framerates

Bard is an all-rounder. The fact that you can buff yourself and still shine in trash gear with insane stats while also debuffing enemies and bosses is crazy. The complain comes from users specifically using that tinny ahh rondel dagger. Bad for you and I am actually happy about it ... it sucks now. However, you could still use an arming sword or flachion and still hit like a truck. The fact that bard can put insane pressure close quarter while being defensive yet offensive with lantern shield and use the survival bow on top of all that is everything but bad
