Let's add a storm feature, then take it away. Then add it back, then take it away. Then add it back again now. Like really what are we doing here lmao

upon reflection on this patch, in my personal opinion, players shouldnt be restricted to maps as a solo because they dont have others to queue with. It should be opened up to all maps and you have the ability to choose solo or duo or trios. Duos being back is an awesome revert. Some great changes and tweaks to buffs and nerfs. and swarm should be removed.

go play rogue, challenge yourself and push your limits, pick pocket rangers that have track at least 3 times in 1 play through. Its not nearly as easy as it seems, but once you get that down you finally learn how to use corners and time your steps.

HR rogue is one of the hardest classes to play. your squishy, you have no self heals, the monsters move as fast as you do. your damage is so nerfed that it takes your 5-6 swings per monster. GG if you get 2 nightmare bats on you cause hitting those enough before you get 3 tapped is one of the funniest things I've had to deal with

We have also modified the impact power of weapons and their ability to destroy doors. Our original intention by giving more classes the ability break doors with their weapons was to improve the ability to run away. What we saw in-game actually ran counter to our intention and ended up giving an advantage to the pursuer. We still like the ability to break doors as it removes the stalemate of ‘Door and Doorer' when parties actually want to engage each other. I personally like the change. In my view it adds more options than it takes away. I like the idea now of risking a 1v3 on crypts going in solo... or if my buddy is on just trying to 2v3 full teams together with that extra challenge. It also increases the chances for cool interations in the dungeon, like going in as a 2 man, finding someone solo, and then winning together. The games could be cinema.

The dev team had a really long time to look at the big mechanical problems of the game and never addressed them. No amount of balance shifting can address the core issues, one of which was MS. Builds can never be fun if they need 330ms, MS should have been flattened and replaced with a third movement or defense skill on every class, for fighter this would move sprint to the third skill basket for example, or even replace it. MS roll slot on gear could be replaced with a scaled bonus to this tactical slot. They have the team for it.

I think the real problem is that people tired of old gameplay loop. And another people tired to watch this. Other games have their own festive events for every important holiday .... Dnd has "mind explodin" patches like "+1 dash for panther". make cristmas hats in a loot on winter holidays... make qvr, start with small things like new traps, new "rare buttons,leading into secret passage".

each class has its pros and cons. As a fighter youre gonna have to adjust your playstyle when vs magic casters, as you are weak to that form of damage naturally. But fighter was my second most played last wipe and I have always mained wizard (now sorc as well) and I believe fighter can still win most fights agaisnt wiz,warlock, sorc IF you are prepared and play well. (You also have great build variety and can adjust as metas change)*

According to my calculations, it should take about 3-4 weeks before enough people complain that quests are now too hard to complete. At which point map rotations will be reverted. Eventually people will complain that they can't queue into Ruins back to back. So the queues will be split. Around this time SDF will start posting about there are too many queues. That's part of the problem. Not solos per say but that the fundamental design of the game was trios, now half of it is solos and half trios/duos. The result is playing solos suck because the classes are balanced for trios and trios suck because concessions were made for solos. It's lose lose for both trios and solo players. Any new decisions they make will either shit on one or the other so we're stuck in a game for no one really.

the teaming was not a good experience for those who actually wanted to play solos and kept running into gigi chads who were playing with friends and readying up at the same time. it ruined solos for everyone. but i a agree, solos needs to be on castle map.

Like wtf why are we back in this awful state the game was in like a year and a half ago? I thought games were supposed to improve with updates! Not go roundabout flip flop until were back when the game was at its most mid

my suspisions are that they are playing with the game mechanics to see how they can tweak the game to make it more fair. more than likely, they will bring solos to all maps, if i had to guess.
