Eh, you can have high turn over rate for many reasons. At the end of the day me and the boys got so many hours out of this game, so much enjoyment that ive nothing else ever drops its still a great purchase in our eyes. Most of the people i constantly run into this game are some stingy looters. or just absolute Fortnite tryhards who take the game way too serious. I understand you have 100s-1000s hours on the game but why treat newer players so bad? why leave no valuable loot for the new players to earn gold? While you're sitting on 10k+ gold easy. The sweet spots are different, the damage is different, the swing speed is different, the animations for swining them are different, etc etc

Morning star and flanged are basically the same with slightly different swing patterns. The biggest difference is the classes that can use them, and the morning star while swinging slower with barely more damage has a higher impact rating than the flanged mace, making it break barrels easier and stagger shields easier

if that's all you care about then just build gear with HP/Vigor stats as base and get action speed rolls on them. Though I would not write off the weapon swap speed that dex gives you as not being very useful
