Dark and Darker is a niche game, if they'd buy it they'd want it to be cheap. Since upkeep costs, and this community isn't an easy one to deal with from what I've noticed. Alot of different opinions, wants and wishes, and close to no attempt to understand one another.

Maybe this is too commercial but I can picture the game being the equivalent of Apex Legends with (obviously) a slower, more methodical combat and loot/stash system. It can be a beautifully large game that should have multiple fighting styles and quick queues. They need better game developers to make it happen

Dark and Darker players, are a special type of nerd. Please don't take this in a negative way, but there are not alot of people who think magic is cool, and sword fights are sicker then a gunfight.

So you're trying to appeal to a very small % of people, with a game that's hard to play casually (skill gaps and gear stats). Its not that weird that they'd rather decomission the game, then try and sell it to another company.

Cause they'd probably end up with a contract that says they'd need to provide certain services for an X amount of time.

Normals are white only items. So effectively , they trying to bring more players to an extraction looter game , but the new players can’t use any items they won during a successful extraction.

Solos and duos are bad for the game for two reasons. Potentially having more empty lobbies by spreading already thin butter on a loaf of bread.

And balance, the isssue with balance is that a lot of ppl on this discord want the game to be balanced, when it never will.

The easiest way to fix this , is simply having more players. If your player pool is 100k players , you can run all the queues you want , you chilling , but when it’s small you are limited

Balancing both modes is impossible.
In fact , even balancing trios is impossible , the game will never be balanced , there are too many factors. The only kind of balance we can aim for is a sort of rock / paper / scissor system, where one class is good against X but bad against Y

There are like 10 classes, each have different perks and ways to play. Each class can also gear differently. But most importantly , the fight positioning dictates a lot of it. Are you on the high ground ? Are you in the open vs a team with multiple ranged classes? Or are you in a tight spot vs melee classes?

Look at crypts , it’s a “closed” map while ruins is mostly open except for some modules that have bushes. Classes behave very differently depending on the environment.

It’s non sense to ask for balance , ofc you wanna tune numbers so 80% of the player pool isn’t playing the same class, but it will never be an even number across all classes , on every map and every mode.

So balancing trios is already not thing , and balancing trios AND solos is never gonna happen

Random Teammate make sense in competetive games, because you all have the same goal. But in DaD theres just so many objectives (Quests, Gold/Boss/Material farming), that you cannot communicate with your random teammates (which may lack the ability to talk and listen) enough

There was also massive factors at work bringing people to the game during playtests. You had massive names that didn't stay past playtests and those numbers didn't last long at all. The game was also fresh back then and there wasn't 4 clones of DaD on the market yet. I'm of the opinion that the rotation system still worked the best atleast for non HR. I think HR is fine as it is RN tbh. 1 HR 1 mode for each. Honestly if HR queues aren't completely full every game it is what it is dude. The average player isn't even gonna make it to being able to do HR PvE consistently,

The mobs have really similar attack patterns with little to no variance. There are no creative ways to fight with mobs outside of warlock flamewalker.

There's no way anyone could do pve for more than an hour without finding it repetitive

The be more precise DaD arena doesn't have an MMR system. Your lost and gained points depends on the amount of games played on that character.
At the start you get +-100 points per game and it dwindles down to 10s

I don’t see how you make a rotation work. If you miss the map you want, you wait. If the map you want is almost done in rotation, the lobbies are dead so you wait. If the rotation is 3 minutes per, why even rotate with continuous dungeon system in play. The only thing I see working permanently is a queue system like every other game. Select map and the game queues you. When enough players queue or a set amount of time passes, game launches.

The tavern was a cold experience when you found no other players. It wasn’t the taverns fault you found no other players tbf. It also allowed you to scout/be scouted. People knew you were in their game and you had gear. It allowed you to know before the game loaded if you should rush around the map and find the juicy kitted players. It had its good and bad.

Offline training raids where you can't gain or lose gear for all of them.

Less queues than the current solution, balance is unified across brackets, life is good.

To solve the issue about gear and ghost towns: 1.Add back gear score limit, no more super geared people, no more squire people in hr. Keep 0-25, 0-124 or idk increase it to 192 then HR. 2. Bring back the gathering lobby so we can have a number of players before the game even starts. 3. Remove the gem socketing and add something where u can roll the bonusses that u have (kind of how scrolls work in metin2) so this way the loot u get in drops actually have value and at the same time if u have a piece u want u can roll it till u get something decent.
