and if they want to experience high roller? the ONLY options they have are the unlimited gear bracket where the best of best gear can be ran, full unique kits, 60k+ gemmed bis, 400k streamer donated kits to make content on.

I played mostly solos and I really liked it. Got like level 300, took a break when sorcerer released because the constant balancing was exhausting and I wanted something a little more consistent so I figured I’d wait. I have no interest in playing trios. They had something special with the solos. Trying to figure out how your opponent fights and play the rock paper scissors between classes was awesome. Now I’d log on to get doors closed in my face by teammates with weird class compositions because all my friends dropped this game? Damn dude. What a fumble.

My duo only enjoys common lobbies. He quit when it was removed. I started playing trios in rare lobbies because I didn’t want to quit. They then remove rare lobbies rendering the tabs of gear I crafted useless and my duo still won’t come back because he doesn’t like playing with randoms. Great game.

So, just to be clear, if you want to play solo you have to play in the gear bracket that is an insane spike in difficulty not only for pve but for pvp. furthermore if you die the goblin merchant wont give you any of your stuff back in said higher difficulty and on top of all of this the gear disparity os so large that if you dont get super lucky you will not be able to compete. am i understanding this correctly? The one place I could escape to, the one game that captured that raw thrill of adventure and danger in a way no other game could.

But now? What have they done? They’ve completely upended everything that made the game great. The new changes feel like a slap in the face. What happened to the gritty, immersive experience we loved? All of the soul and tension has been drained out. It feels like the game I fell in love with is slipping through my fingers, changing into something I don’t recognize... something that doesn’t feel like Dark and Darker anymore.

I get it, updates are supposed to improve the game, but this... this feels like they’ve missed the mark entirely. Why mess with something that was already perfect in its own broken, chaotic way? All I wanted was to explore the depths, fight alongside friends, feel the fear, the rush, the victory—but now it feels like everything’s been reduced to just another generic experience.

I’m not sure I can keep playing it like this. Every change just feels like a wound, and with each patch, I’m losing more of what I loved about the game. Did the devs even listen to us? So if you want to bis something out top end gems that are hard or expensive to get can basically make bis but lower tier gems are still serviceable. You aren't forced you can play adventure mode with any gear you'd like. Nortmals up to rare, and HR with any gear you'd like. The problem with what they are doing is the elimination of the ability to play solo/duo across the baord. I understand reduced queues. Get rid of adventure mode.. and/or bring back the rotation.

• Little to no accessibility for new players -- they cannot bring back gear into their norms raids as they learn the mobs. So they are constantly playing with shitkits in PvP.
• Forced trios so learning the game now is just PvE if you want to bring your gear in. But no nightmare enemies present there, so again, mobs aren't learnable easily.
• Common kits are way more balanced and therefore enjoyable for outplays / better fighting 👍 but you removed any semblance of progression in norms for players to work their way to HR. They just have to dump their shit in stash now and not take anything back into raid.
• Squire tier was meant to be PvP focused or for newer players to get some gear (though PvE frankly takes this option now); lack of a rare or epic tier makes their gear inaccessible.

I think there's more to it than that. Solos and duos just have a different feel to the game overall. But also the removals didn't come with any positive changes to gear disparity or anything to address why HR is unpopular. If there had been changes that addressed these issues it would be easier to accept losing a popular way to play
