Brother, SDF hasn’t done anything good since the game launched. He’s made so many promises, yet none of them have been kept. Despite claiming he would listen to the community, he consistently ignores feedback, leaving players frustrated and disillusioned. At this point, there’s no hope for Dark and Darker as long as he remains the lead developer.

As someone with over 1,000 hours in the game, I’ve seen firsthand how little has improved. The same issues persist, updates are slow or meaningless, and core problems remain unaddressed. It’s clear that under SDF’s leadership, nothing will change—you have to admit that. The potential of Dark and Darker is being wasted, and it’s a shame to watch a game with so much promise stagnate because of poor management.

there are like 5 people working on the game, and when something is extremely broken, they have to prioritise that kind of stuff cos it absolutely ruins the game - but he's made changes, like when he buffed all the common gear, and people lost their minds, so he put it back

he's added plenty of stuff over time to make the game better, and multi-classing should be enough to show how hard it is to balance a game like this, particularly when players keep breaking it due to something a handful of people can't discover, but thousands can.

If you've spent 1000 hours on something that's so disappointing to you, I feel genuinely sorry for you. That ain't a life..

• SDF never wanted solo/duo and stated it wouldn’t be good. But the community begged and he caved.

• not putting something in is going to be taken way better than putting something in THEN removing it.

Originally the solo mode was goblin caves. But then it was expanded and opened up to trio.

Solos should either b experimental, or limited to a mode/map where it can be implemented properly. They could also add modifiers for said modes, but that’s beyond their balance teams scope.

Solos could stay with the words “experimental” next to it. That way they never have to balance for it since it’s up to the players discretion.

SDF did state that he apologizes for not using my the test server and he’ll be doing so more now.

He couldn’t use it much before since only the Hold The Line members have it. So he’s giving them some other bonus while he opens test to the public.

if they're underpowered in trios but op in solos it helps to think about why, which clearly wasn't considered or cared about because sdf likes die-to-random bullshit built into the game's design
this is true now, it's baked into map design, it was true in multiclassing
casters mainly died due to silence and ms meta, but if there were no melee ms meta they'd just have been chewed up by rangers

this is why you just take the stupid invis/leap/ironwill (maaaaybe silence) bullshit out and both solos and trios are at least in a state where you can escape most of your bad matchups

The problem here are :

-They are doing good update (separating in 2 normal mode + 2 high roller - including SOLO/DUO and TRIO) -> Then they going back to only trio (which is not good for everybody I personally thinks this isn’t good) the main reason is lack of player BUT to attract more player they can maybe do any kind of MARKETING (to get more player) but they don’t want to spend money on it

-SDF saying (I’m gonna summarize here: ) « we are a small team it’s hard you know to do all of those update » -> then MAYBE hiring new dev can be good ???

-We got « balance adjustement » every patch but those are done primarily on community sentiment (which is bad and not at the same time) -> there is just to see wizard building magic staff doing two tap in melee to kill any class (this is a wizard ????) this is just an example by the way

-We see arena mode as a test mode again (test 4) but nothing big is really done between those test (cutting part of existing map without even taking the time to delete mob is just an awesome joke) + tagging multiple time the same class in the same team (cause they filled in queue ) -> this dont need much time to fix ???

-Teasing new update just by word Without EVEN fixing existing issue (don’t speak about those countless bug fixes in every patch that just flood it to say « hey look we worked a lot » )

• (This is personal take) but they made decent money with the game (it’s good nothing work without money) and they became lazy just baiting the community without even doing much THEN they lost most of it (the money) cause of a lawsuit now they are back at « work » and when the season started ‘new season pass’ to monitize back (which is ok i have nothing against it) BUT now they are going to restrict all game mode to trio (cause of « lack of player ») but to me it ALSO feels like a server cost discount to their side

-Dark and darker is a good game (on some point but bad on some other)
-The community is strong (which is the reason why the game still exist)
-Most of actual problem are just fake (lack of people -> do marketing to attract new player ; we have to much job as a Dev it’s hard -> hire new dev, we have no money to even do marketing -> raise some fund this is a business not a kid game)
-Dev make good decision then they decide to go back and make it not good again

On it’s current direction the game is just gonna go nowhere and lose most of its community

Queueing for a specific dungeon has been removed. There is now a single Random Dungeon queue that puts you into a random dungeon. Good Luck completing quests now.

The Normal and HR difficulties have both been removed and combined into a single queue. The dungeon is now one difficulty with random mob variants.

Arena has been removed, it wasn't part of my vision, if you want to play the game, go queue for the dungeon using the one queue.

I the great and mighty sdf have solved the 'too many queues problem' by making sure everyone plays using the same queue. Don't like it? Well it's my vision, not yours.

Okay, since none of you understand this simple math, I'll math it out for you. If you're playing NA before this patch, you have:
PVE Trios
Normal Solo, Duo, Trios
Rare Solo, Duo, Trios
HR Epic Solo, Duo, Trios
HR Artifact Solo, Duo, Trios
Each of these on 3 maps.
Count it up. That's 39 queues you have access to. You don't have the ability to go into another region. Is that too many queues? Probably. Did it have to be set up in such a way that now your options are to play trios with randoms in squire gear, or play whatever garbage you found in PVE against people with full unique/artifact gear and get absolutely clobbered? No.

there are 300 some queues streached out through all the regions yes. no player with interract with all of them. 12k players streached out and unable to interract with differant regions means less gamers in the same queues

first of all it's not 300 odd queues anymore - but they have these things called "regions" it refers to other places in the world where people live and play, and to be able to play in their region, they need a handful of queues, so for every queue added to your region, the same will get added to other regions, so people around the world can play!
The reason they do this is because information takes time to travel, and in an intense pvp game like this, having a really high ping (which is what we call the time it takes for information to make a return journey) would make the game very frustrating to play, so what they do to mitigate this is they'll add servers local to where the players are

learning attack patterns and combat mechanics is the first step into PvP and that is a whole lot easier in PvE mode.... once you understand how the weapons/spacing/different classes work, then you move into squire PvP until you learn those ropes, etc.... again your complaints are so misplaced its unreal
