I played across all game modes, and I genuinely find some of the most fun fights in the squire brackets. I'm amazed they have removed it so we can experience "unfair fights" in forced trio matchmaking. Are they actively encouraging people to twink every bracket and stomp non premades? Is the plan here to kill the game because server costs are too high? I imagine the cash flow from cosmetics is pretty small, given how infrequently they add things and how few new players are coming to the game. Also the scummy "buy more stash space and gold bags for this season only" that I can't imagine many people bought. I also have to wonder if IM is getting some kind of cut from the AR EM TEE businesses. So many decisions leave me confused, but from the perspective of catering to those who pay real money for gear, it all makes sense. Why else would you think it's a good idea to lock Solo and Duo play (the most popular by far) behind no gear limit HR? It's to feed the AR EM TEE and streamer community who were bored and upset just playing against each other. Early in this game's development, there was a clear divide between catering to streamers / AR EM TEE (those with easy and immediate access to the best gear) and everyone else. As time went on, it's been 2 steps forward, 1 step back towards being a game for "everyone else". Every time gear was made to be more balanced between levels, or there was separation by gear score, the Streamer / AR EM TEE crowd cried. This time though seems like more than just a step backwards, it's a pretty giant leap. Those new players who weren't around to experience how fun it is being 1-shot by people 3-6 levels of gear higher than themselves won't be around for very long.

I am indifferent because I only play HR solos and duos anyway but I think its weird to potentially lose solos and duos for trios only when historically trios in most games is the least played. But i dont think any of that really matters. The game does need less queues because the game has felt dead in HR at least, and it has been bleeding players.

It doesnt matter what ironmace does in terms of balance. IMO people arent leaving because the balance is bad they leave because there is nothing to do and the balance is also bad and also the community is a tar pit.

Player retention comes from fresh content or high replay value or community.

Currently it feels like IM's idea of fresh content is more quests to grinding the same mobs in the same areas for four months. Which is yikes.

Only other suggestion is get good at bossing, make a max luck kit for pve and grind gold triple bossing. This is what I would do for gold and would make roughly anywhere from 2.5k-4k per run

Vigor is better. % HP is only really good on barbarian as it goes off your base HP. typically. I recommend buying a cheap green piece of gear and plugging and playing with the smaller numbers

The main reason to wait to play is to not get turned off the game. Its not super new player friendly plus you need friends to play with.

It has a big price tag for the full game and there isnt really much content. Most fun comes from PVP or odd player interactions and you can get those in other games.
