yeah I agree with Bean. At this point you are trying to look at any and all options you can change and you want to cycle through those.

This is becasue something is bugged on server side, and you are trying to guess and see if anything you do HAPPENS to coincidentally clear out and correct that bugged data

I tend to prefer shorter cooldowns so far. I tried slamming damage but I think that I view cooldown speeds as being quite similar to mobility agility move speed etc etc in most games, where being fast just gives you a much more forgiving play experience. Cooldowns seem to be very much like that too, which means they are quite powerful & easy to use as there isn't a learning curve.. they are just faster.

Here's an idea (that I posted earlier) on how to bring freshness to dark for those that are burnt out (I don't play anymore, and have sunken 1700 h into this game, and have burnt out from the gameplay loop that has remained the same for 2 years and the PvP that, when everyone is in the top 95 % in terms of skill, is not very fun (e.g., door-and-doorer, just camping doorways waiting for one team to make a mistake and push): a new mode that has an in-game currency system like league of legends. When you die, you respawn with your stuff. You kill mobs to gain experience and gold. It's the usual dungeon crawl. As you level up, you then spec. your character by choosing powers by branching into perk trees. Additional abilities (with more buttons) could be unlocked, and ultimate abilities. Before entering this mode, you enter with a kit (e.g., your BIS arena kit). As you level up, you get more HP. When you spawn in, you don't have any of your kit. As you level up, you gain the ability to spend gold on parts of your kit, so late game (e.g., in hell, after 40 mins) you would have all your BIS kit (which can't be lost BTW). So some classes + kits would be good early game and some would be better late game. Etc.

Its been 10000 years since the original launch of Dark and Darker, i remember almost like it was yesterday.

The game was clunky, servers werent great, but it had a unique soul and charm to it. A game filled with potential.

After all, it was a free experience and surely once income starts to flow, the game will improive and grow.

The game was young then, the devs showed promise. It could grow to become something amazing one day.

And yet after all this time, all this faith and money desposited in them, the game remains with the exact same fundamental problems

Servers remain in the gutter, collision is an asbolute joke, shields being merely decorative.

How can one take a game seriously? How can one take a team of devs seriously, while they dont even take their own game as such?

Its way weaker against tanky classes like fighter or barb since its damage got nerfed but its way strong against castors cause druid damage was high enough that the reduced damage still made it possible to blow someone up instantly and now the double dash made it easy af to atch them
