The point in 0-24 I agree was that you could just Click - join... no need to go to trade and search for items.
Buy few pots - go in have a blast.
At worst.. I just bought out like 5-10 necks with +All stats, and took one each time I died from storage.
Easy way to get fast between battles.
The most annoying thing in DaD is that you come from battle and spend 5-10min among merchants + trade if you survive and even more if you die if you want decent gear.

Yes, less gear -> less gear check. In 225+, if you don't invest 8k+ in a kit, it's always a coin flip. You don't know if your opponent is super geared until it's too late. In 224, you can get away with 1k - 2k kits and still be competitive against most other players.

From my experience in solos, there are more blue portals than you need. But you need to fight at least one or two to get them. If you want to get started, play ruins and try to play around static blues (the draw bridges) until you get a hang for it.

i have so many questions about the goblin merchant, but to start, i bought items from the market (not too much) ran in with them to see how he works in adventure mode, and have yet to get anything back. am i supposed to get something at some point back?

i know teammates can get your stuff back in normal gameplay, but how does it work in solo adventure if the items were from the market (so not found by you)

and do items like pickaxes get sent back to you aswell

Pickaxes and others are not given back from my experience.

Thanks for the info, but one question about the falling outside of map part. I've seen clips around that if someone were to jump off the map for example, they just run away for a second and the body just reappears back on the ledge before they had jumped off. Does this count towards that aswell, or is this just the ice map rule?

Play what you can play well and you will enjoy it more than what "bis setup" is generally.
But having at least one support as druid or cleric ain't bad idea to have some backup heals.

Ice map for sure.. if you get outside of map elsewhere by a "bug" or "glitch" I'm not sure.. I have 720+h and never fell outside of map myself. Even when I tried to port around the walls as a sorc for fun to try and find weird spots.

Cleric is the melee meta right now and rogue has generally been the most played class in the history of the game. I must say, there is something really fun and evil at the same time about jump scaring someone with a rogue. Haven't played the class in many wipes, but it was always exciting to hunt players on rogue.

Enjoy. Another tip is this game is always better with friends, but some of us enjoy the solo grind as well. If you find a more experienced player to show you the basics it's perfect. You can always "Request a knight" (vetted veterans of the game who help new players)

@blazing silo Also had a hard time making my IRL friends like the game. But you can always check lfg channels or even random queue in low gear. I met the best healer cleric I've ever played with by random queing in duos (by mistake). We've been on dozens of adventures last 2 wipes.

Most of the "team" buffs from bard are short lived.. like speed and such.. it stays on only for 6-10sec ish. So they do not buff outside of "pre-combat" scenario

Weapons - head - neck - on torso you can have "Sash" that is useless just for color right now.. and so on. 2 icons to make UI look a bit.. different I guess.
Also what you put there, it is SHOWN on your body, so if you have a pot there, it shines in darkness, so you kinda know that whatever you put there is used against you I guess.

good uniques can be worth a lot, but most consistent and safe way is to kill bosses, loot pile, and mine gold in gobby cave. Troll pelts still sell, so do cyclops rags. can get 500-700 gold from inv full of blue treasures, could also try to get spider silk

in my experience (2 demigod chars so far and a lot of hr play on others, solo and duo only) really not everybody builds like this, mostly warlocks and rogues from what i've seen, where it's easier to build ms. For solo it has been nice to be faster against fast classes specifically, otherwise you only get kited to hell even in past metas. Imo the worst hr has been was early last season where everyone would cheese all the exits or just run to a blue instead of fighting.

Make all boss doors stone, and make the doors only openable by the team that starts boss until they die or 30 seconds after boss dies. We already have perms in the game, and specific team perms too (pve corpse interactions, can only open your teammates body)

If you have that "standing perk" and learn with it .. to jump around while casting you can be devastating. But I would say both classes are probably better in 3o

I spent like 3 days trying to play sorc and got ran down by plate fighters/barbs with 330 ms constantly. If a barb has 40% mdr, iron will, crush, and is ms cap with rage to stay cap with weapon out. What can you do?

All classes are overtuned to high hell, cleric is melee king and can easily get pdr cap and ms cap, plate fighter can be ms cap with second wind, barb can be ms cap with the ability to break doors and cant be knocked back. Sorc, Wizard, and Warlock can all abuse the easy ms cap and also build high hp. 160+ hp wizard has never eaten so good before

Here's how sorc feels to me. If youre playing good and popping off it feels REALLY good, easily the most rewarding class to play when it comes to clutch elemental snipes and big lightning storms (hearing the thunder hit like 10+ times gives me eargasms) HOWEVER, if youre getting stomped it is freaking miserable.

Oh actually the fire arrow is really great for "tug of war" stuff..
They are "Homing missiles" so you can use water bolt to block door with "water mine" basically and throw fire arrows that go behind the corner to harass.

If your team loses, you can Dash away, lock door and when you are running away just place fire wall on the door.. if you hit right angle, people are burning 😄

Half the time in Pve it will be still faster to just use longsword to be fair... if you get decent sword for GS you are in, it will be probably faster instead of waiting for spell combos. At least it feels like that.
If you get LS + lightning ball around you, you can clear out quite fast.

For PvP, not sure if it is "meta" but for sure it is fun for me as I wrote before to not use any weapons, just boost gear to max with magic/true magic, and be pure caster.
No weapon allows you to have decent gear even in 124 bracket with a lot of SP.

Wizard has NO cooldowns when you are prepped for fight, so you hurl spells faster than sorc.
Also tons of fireballs which.. sorc does not have.. dmg + burning + blasting doors.
Haste + invis for team fights is reaaaly strong.

If sorc and wiz are of equal kit and skill sorc only wins in longer engagements. Sorc can string a tempo that if done properly no other class in the game can match. However, wizard likes it quick and dirty so that he can rest his aching back in a dark corner.

I mean.. you have 5 slots so make merging in same spots for each pentagram so you just move in one motion while clicking QE so it switches both spells to your specified merge.
The Dash you do not want to "screw up" mid fight pvp, that should be some locked easy position for ya.

I stopped playing about a year ago when multiclassing was introduced, mainly because of multiclassing itself, but also due to the overall class balancing, which was poor or even non-existent. The mage, in particular, has been at the top of the meta since the game launched. Well, I recently came back to the game and noticed that nothing has changed in that regard the mage actually feels even stronger now. It buffs better than a bard, hits harder in melee than a fighter, can turn invisible and make their team invisible, bursts from a distance, applies anti-heal, reveals invisibility... It's in every somewhat serious high-roll team. Like seriously, Ironmace, how long do you need to realize this class has a problem?

0-224 is a great place to learn HR. you don't need a PVE HR

pve mode for learning the basics of the game is a must have. High roller is competeing for stuff. and it's not even entirely that much harder to learn if you learn the basic attack patterns. Most of them only get +1 hit or a gimmick mechanic.

Anyone else feel like DaD has become more of a grind game than a struggle game? AP only really goes up now, even when you die. The map isn't threatening since they got rid of fog. Market makes things really easy to gear out for cheap. Arena apparently just allows everything these days. And we can shell out money to just get early gold coin bags so we don't even need to compete over those ingredient resources either.

Fog meant you couldn't plan your routes the moment you hit the M button at the start of a game. A degree of exploration and clearing was needed to getting out safely, and that had to be balanced with looting. I considered the additional decision making to be good gameplay, now its just autopilot.

yeah so u know, they dont even have a set vision to go on, and u belive u know where they wanna get? its extraction pvpve , fow and random dungeons were literally making the 14minutes that should have a pace to be played having to be played at speed mode always, otherwise u wouldnt be able to get to interest points unless u lucky, both toghether in my opnion are bad for the game, as individual mesures both awesome measures... All tho since u played since play test u know how much it impacted the game in good and bad ways, lobbies used to be way more aggresive and pvp oriented, wich is good for pvp junkies and bad for role players. Ultimately this change had way less impact in the game feeling than many others they did before that drove hordes of players away, after the begining of EA they decided not to make the game as hardcore as they intended and make it more friendly so it could become more hyped/have bigger player base and thats still the path they are following, trying to get to a sweet spot were hardcore enjoyers and timmys can enjoy the game without a collapse of balance

im not sure why so many people struggle against druids .. I play mostly a pdr longsword survival bow in the HR+ lobbies and absolutely dog on them ... you outrange the bear with longsword and can survival bow when they space. occasionally you'll have a very annoying/good druid player but it just takes time they can't really kill me unless I fuck up

The reason why it doesnt work on epic games is because epic games pulled it from their store or something due to the lawsuit or whatever
