Chain lightning is always viable, stack raw magic power/additional magic damage, if in solo bounce it off a pve monster or a corpse to hit your target instead of trying to hit them directly if you can

considering you literally cannot rush the rooms (believe me I have gone really good at the door opening song with bard and even then you get fcked by the dogs, the nightmare skeletons or a centaur if you are unlucky, since the stone doors don't open instantly

For the past year I have had a serious suspicion that Ironmace is creating gold and selling it to RmMTers. Within the first hours of wipe you can purchase insane quantities of gold that could not be legit collected. More importantly I have never been able to find people buying gold from players. For example in world of warcraft you can buy gold, but they also have a large market to sell that gold. Meaning I as a individual can farm WOW gold and sell it to a gold supplier. I have never found any method of selling gold in dark and darker. Dnd suppliers don't need it because they have an infinite supply that can be created. Also Ironmace is clearly not above unethical practices seeing as they stole the game in the first place.

Try different builds, use phantomize+blow of corruption (You cut their healing by 80%). Kiter caster just pisses me off, it's so boring and yet it's basically the only viable way to play this game. Until the devs add some utility that can fight against movement speed there's just never going to be a reason to tank up.
My barb and I got our asses handed to us after a looney toons chase for 2 minutes. A similar story occured prior too but we lost mostly due to "phantomize". I decided to give caster warlock a run and we won against the same two from earlier. But it doesn't feel good. There's no fun in running back and forth casting hit scans. Especially when the opponent you're fighting comes in shirtless just for movement speed. It's like "Wow, I just spent all this time chasing, catching and eliminating this player who didn't bring a major slot item of the game."

@red nacelle I think it would be a lot better if they just added a short range utility item like a whip or something that slowed down the opponent. Movement speed should be used to flee from opponents with the wise use of environment and positioning instead of just going in and out over and over again treating the other player like a caged animal. The only current viable counter play to speedsters is taking off your own shirt and helmet and that just feels awful.

Look to be more clear what im trying to say here is that Kiting is fine. But they need to make it more skill based. Kiting shouldnt just be a matter of movespeed , it should be ability based. So casters need to hit movespeed abilities to get away like backstep , and melee need to hit you with an ability to slow/root you.

Why is this so complicated , if you are in the middle of an action you typically can hit F to cancel. Except with attacking, nothing can cancel an attack mid swing (nor do people want Feints) ... however backstep is ane xception to that rule. You can be mid swing and still backstep , thats why its busted

I don't think I can enjoy this game anymore. I just soloed spectral knight in 224 HR. Two different players came into the boss arena and attacked me, a warlock and a barbarian. I killed them both and killed the boss, and then a fighter came in and finished me off because I didn't have my second wind. Come on.

I think the boss door should at least lock while players are in it. That would also increase the PVE challenge because players couldnt just walk out and reset it mid fight. They would be fully committed, and players could still camp outside the door and push in afterwards. The way it is now is infinitely frustrating
