@glad thunder seriously whoever is responsible for balancing needs to take a step back, demotion or face some sort of repercussions for all these terrible balance changes. No one that actually plays the game thought blood exchange needed a buff, it’s hysterical. Now a slightly-broken but not meta affecting problem became so huge you needed to remove an actual fun skill based part of the barb kit. And I hate barbs and have argued for the classes removal.

But this whole “buff” you did to barb just amounted to a removal of a perfectly okay ability.

These balancers are literally ruining your game. Stop listening/hiring to streamers about/to balance. You guys should know what’s balanced or not, give yourself actual kits so you can experience what it’s like playing high end pvp. It literally takes a week of dedicated training to learn the meta. Stop just looking at what people are using to determine how to change balance. Just because exchange wasn’t getting used didn’t mean it wasn’t healthier for the game than any change you made to it after it’s botched buff. It wasn’t getting used because the other barb skills are literally just so much better that it doesn’t make sense to use the other ones.

Minor patches like this should be zero downtime. 1) Push out new server image 2) Clients start going to new server and not old server. It tells them to restart if a client update is available (version is less than expected) 3) As players finish old dungeons, they'll leave and get the restart request once they exit dungeon 4) Drain connections from old servers and shut them down. 5) have fun no downtime patch

Casual players keep games like this alive. Regarding High Roller, 224 was the sweet spot for casual players and those that wanted to min-max with some constraints (constraints can encourage creativity too). It was the best of both worlds and it's a real shame it was removed.

But something needed to be done (if you was there you know then). The main goal havent really ever been acheiv, timmy got murdered all the day anyway in -24.Dev say it themselve in the patch not : the main goal have failed. The removall of some bracket is needed if we want to had some map, it is simple math, if we split people with different maps, we can't also splitting them too much with too much bracket

I actually think it's largely beneficial to have a 0-24 bracket for new players and all who wish to play in them. it simply makes sense. I'll elaborate... The new players can utilize this bracket to become acclimated to pvp if they desire and the battlefield will be on equal footing for all parties involved. The new player won't get stomped on by someone whose min-maxing the gear system. If the new player isn't going for pvp, then they'll simply avoid pvp engagement and focus on pve. They'll also have the added benefit of having no gear to lose.

I can't speak for anyone else here, but I was happy with the under 25 lobbies because it was a way to practice the game's combat systems without getting stomped by someone because of a gear diff. It's really hard to practice melee combat when the barb has 50% pdr, 200 hp, 310 ms, and enough damage to instant kill me.

I'm hoping they will make a practice range to replace this

Look at their main focus, starting last season for instance they werent content with how people achieved demigod, so decided to gut the AP system, and replace it with a harder one, just so people could grind more and have more of a "challenge.", even though its not really what the people asked for.

People were happy with 0-25 because it offered a comic relief from the game in HR being tryhards and unbalanced, think the first couple of weeks of sorcerer where they were overly dominant because the class was just stupendously broken, the game was balanced in 25's in terms of nobody really had gear, so its in a sense anyones game.

The joke is 0-25 offered players a way to display skill without the need of piles of money on gear, but just solely through the channels of how greatly they mastered their class, but again, its an unfair advantage vs the (poor) players that play 25-125's isn't it? To have nothing to lose, but time and the effort they get into?

But what changed you say? Think of it like this, there's no more lobby you're shielded from people that are just minmaxing stats. Now its a "0-124?" lobby, you have enough gearscore to propperly sweat it out, put on some blue lightfoot +5 movement speeds, some ol' dirty pendants or weapons so you have an infinite advantage over anyone who spawns in as a 0-25 score, and you can pretty much endlessly continue to grind the dungeon and get back your investment, mauling person after person that doesnt rely purely on minmaxing.

Then whats the point? This entire game is just now "how can I get an unfair advantage over the other players in the game", and honestly its just exhausting to me o_o

I really just don't get how Ironmace can tirelessly see exactly what the community enjoys, and take it from them and replace it with something that nobody really wants or cares for.

so .... for the average player...the experience will be like this: find a cool sword. Wants to try out that sword next HR.....problem is...they have to collect 10 of those pieces in order to have the slightest chance to match everyone else in the dungeon. What are you even on about? You can find legendary gear in normal dungeons. Just keep learning and stockpiling gold then you go to HR. It is called High Roller for a reason. You take great gear in and it helps if you aren’t afraid to lose it.

There's a significant difference between a purple item, and a bis item. Not everybody can compete with people with bis. Because people with bis most of the time are the better percentage skill wise as well. Right now, everybody is in the same bucket. People wanting to try anything "good", as in purple gear with shitty rolls and people maxing everything. They are all queueing at the same dungeon. If you think this makes sense, welp, I have no other argument. The lower bracket for HR, was imo, one of the best changes they ever did. It allowed players to get familiar with HR, but without having to buy a really expensive kit. And competing with people at similar gear scores at the same time.

To be honest, from a new players perspective the the 0-24 lobbies were horror for me. I started about a week ago and the "skill expression" from other players meant that i got steam rolled by some spinning crouching guy with an axe in like 2 hits because he was just enjoying the low gear score game. You can still rat in 0-124 and the outcome wont change what happens if I somehow catch someone with low HP or 3rd party them then I can get some cool loot not just squire gear and consumables. So from my point of view Noob lobbies and 0-124 is fine.

Folks combining 24 and 124 is fine. Its 100gs. Combining 125-225 with the people running 500+ BIS means you have a 375gs gap you have to farm up in 124s to have balanced fights

Didn’t say it made sense, just pointing about that there is no “even” gear bracket. You can either win fights or you can’t. Every player, even the sweats, die in the dungeon. Sometimes to their counter and sometimes to a skill diff. People think you have to take every fight and that isn’t the case.

So I do understand to a point the complaint on GS lobbies ect. Im also curious how its fair if someone works their way to get good gear they are expected to fight only people of the same gear level? Meaning you wont really notice all the work you put in ect over the others in lobby. Its hard to actually find the right solution for games involving gear, especially in ones where you lose it when you die. I think Arenas are made so you can fight on a more level ground. The normal dungeons ARE IN FACT cut throat and supposed to be hard and risky and people who play in them and build their characters gear should have a bit of an advantage? they also see the need to limit it a bit hence the HR and Normal lobbies. But Saying to split it up completely imo... just shows a lack of understanding OR a lack of skill and not wanting to lose always. Does it not make sense the people who grind for their gear should have and deserve that bit of advantage? or do you all wanna work for everything to never feel the gains?
