Heres an idea:
Solo queue. Static portals = 2 per spot with 1st erupt early and the other erupting mid game. Stairs are single use, available towards end of run
Duo queue. Static portals = Same as solo queue portals. Stairs are double use towards end of run.
Trio queue. Static portals = 3 per spot, 1st erupting early, 2nd shortly after, 3rd mid game . Stairs are triple use towards end of run

Solo having 2 portals should be enough saturation to dissuade camping a portal waiting to landmine someone but also enough to cope with endless matchmaking, staggered availability ensures a chance for early and late adventurers to exit.*

In duo and trio queue there should be # torches above the stairs signifying the uses remaining, for every use of stairs, a torch goes out.

OVERHEAD... OVERHEAD! Warmaul and warhammer only exception. Druid can both attack and cast w/ crystalball but not cleric?! They are made to support their team with their healing being great as a form of "Intervention" while druid is more "Maintenance" but has plenty of heals they can stack, honestly making them a better alternative that can easily stall/survive with dreamwalk/animal shift while cleric is stuck in. [Grove is literally a channel free sanc]. Cleric really starting to appear to be a solo cheese class with divine prot and smite, forgoing casting entirely and appearing to be a mock paladin but falling short

It was fun, but not healthy overall to the game. Infinite escapes made it so that people didn't need to find portals, they could just run away for free if they're losing a fight. Stairs were kinda placed in convinient spots because it was one time use, but infinite made it so that anyone could choose not to lose for how accessible they are. It's bad, unhealthy. Now, earn your escape like how it should be.

Crafting items offer 1+ roll, for example copper is green but instead of 1 random roll you get 2, so on and so on, when you unlock all the items and can create purples, frostlight, you basically spending resources to basically craft legendary items. Also the majority of craftable offer more static stats than found gear

I feel like if people are going to join mid match blue extractions need to be able to stay open and take multiple people still... it was one of the best changes to the game and made matches go way faster. I don't understand why you would change that. "Not everyone is meant to escape" is stupid when you can join a match and automatically fail due to matchmaking and loose all your equipment because of it...

People died to pvp and mobs normally enough anyways, so why would they make this change? I don't get it...

To be fair I am only spamming norms ruins rn for spectral fabrics but I feel like there's more than enough blues for everyone if people are willing to fight for one. I think it's sort of ridiculous they removed it after making the game less reliable to escape in lower levels already AND make it so you can join mid match. I am of the belief you should be able to escape together as a team almost always, because otherwise it disincentives playing with randoms who can leave you behind or loosing your gear due to matchmaking giving you no escape
