Problems With Ranger:

-You rarely ever see a Crossbow Ranger, much less Windlass unless you're running a Longbow with it. Ranger is dominated by bows.
-Traps are stupid.
-No Variety in Skills/Perks, even less if you use Crossbow. The only perks you can use that is viable (with crossbow) is backstep, true shot, and pen shot.
-Campfire Mastery is a thing
-Crippling Shot is a thing.
-Missing important missile weapons like: Slings, Staff Slings, Javelins and War Darts.
-What even is the purpose of the Hand Crossbow with ranger?
-Any class can use ranged weapons against the class specific for ranger and do it WAY better sometimes.
-Limited melee options.

I really hate the AP grind this season, it's still heavily pve focused but im constantly running into fights, winning the fights then having an inventory full of another players loot I dont want to lose by risking another fight or worse a fscking ranger trap in the stairs.

High roller right now is stupid. About 10 players can start a match. About half of them will make it down to the last level. People have enough blood lust already, but with the latest changes where we are forced to fight one another with IronMace threatening us to ban if we do not (nope, I am not one of those teamers, but I'm happy to let a fellow adventurer pass if our paths cross), the likelihood of making out alive is pretty low. Unless you play this game 8 hours a day. I don't have that time.
I've got to Demigod a few times, I have some basic ideas. But I'm not great at PvP (also playing Wizard ;D). Getting a gear ready to go down to Highroller could costs easily multiple thousands. Than you get killed and you loose all your invested gear, money and AP. Well, actually no AP, as I've tried like 5 High Roller games and I never made it out alive (always killed by players, once I fucked up and got cornered by mob, shit happens).
I don't think there's any point trying High Rollers anymore. Apart from the top players, average players will die more often than not and just keep loosing AP and never building it up to make it to Demigod.
It's a shame as I enjoy the extra challenge of the High Roller dificulty otherwise. 😦

Just gotta rat and play smart ngl, I am also a Wizard this season. You just gotta think about areas people are going to frequent and then just stay away if you don't want to PVP. Inferno is usually pretty chill in my experience as long as you stay in your spawn module (hopefully an exit room).

Yeah, spawned in exit room. Tried to clear it, but Wizards are a bit noisy with all those spells and that attracts aggressive players. Also, your hearing is impaired while casting lots of spells (e.g. Berzerker or other big enemies).

So you have two cheapest possible kits, no one takes your stuff because it is bad, and by the time you die in the second one the first one has completed so you just insta re requip it, takes two seconds. Since there are "rumours" of base stat normalization on all gear, maybe it's time to discuss gear. A staple of any RPG is progression. As far as the character goes, progressing to level 15 is all you have to do to just get all perks, but that happens relatively fast. Instead, the main progression path in this game is gathering gear and/or wealth (to buy gear).

You start with close to nothing, base squire gear. You end up buying/finding some white gear and keep playing a bit in <25 gearscore. Soon you will afford to move up to <125 and you can keep upgrading your pieces to optimize you build. Eventually, you will be ready to go for HR or >125 in normals. I think messing with this progression could be very detrimental to the main game loop: gear up -> dungeon run -> better gear/try again.

That being said, I think that having normalized stats across gear can bring something really nice to the game: gear knowledge can help you figure out what build an enemy has. Just like nowadays, you can tell if a druid is building for panther or bear. But imagine that working for any class, you can kind of tell what build they have and how strong it is.

Whatever they decide, I am here for it, I just hope they do changes that benefit mostly the new players. What do you guys think?

If they do the gear stat changes they are going to lose around 40% or more player base over a short period of time. They wont have a release to steam pending to boost their numbers back like they did after they butchered it with multi classing. Listen to your community, or don't.. but don't be shocked when you lose dedicated players. Gear rolls go away, so does 80%+ of the reason to play the game. Who cares anymore? Got a legendary from lich, sick... thats worth about 300 gold as it is no different than any other legendary of its type. Why farm gear anymore? It's fun getting drops and HOPING they have relevant rolls. Gambling with gob merchant is legit fun to do on its own in the hopes of getting a legendary or nice rolls on gear vs after patch would literally never do it cause who cares.

With the new update of goblin giving back 100% of your kit I’d like to propose a rework.

With arena having the mechanic where you only lose items not named by you, I propose the same thing for the goblin merchant return. Have him bring back 100% of your “claimed” gear that wasn’t looted by the opposition. Then he gives you back 50% of what WASN’T named by you.

With this rework, less high tier gear items will be cycled through the goblin merchant/trade/marketplace. This also leave the decision to the player on whether or not they would like to take their BIS “claimed” items into HR and risk losing it to a team or used it for arena. Too much gear is being cycled within the community driving marketplace prices down and essentially making it less of utility and more of a place holder for selling items not “claimed” by the player.

Some classes like barb could wear leather and chain but the studded armor is considered plate.

If we had half plate it'd technically be both. Just call it a semantical irk of details.
Part of the complaint is that some classes get access to too much armor [warlock] for literally zero reason and other classes just can't wear a straw hat for who knows why.

The small forms die in one hit, if you can't aim that's the definition of skill issue.

Because you're favorite streamer mentioned reset, you should probably look at the math and the fact if druid has to run, get clear and reset with bad scaling, you can reset faster than we can + come back. If you're mad we don't stand still and die in a boxing match we can't win... you're goofy.

Bear has a reduced action and move speed and can't get through doors. Play smart and you won't die. Our right click has such a long windup that you can press S and back out of it with plenty of time and still attack while doing so. If you get hit by right click it's DEF a skill.issue

Hi there. I would like to share a couple things I've thought might help the game out.

Matchmaking: Have it based on a character's Fame rather than gearscore. Example: 20-30 people queue for icecaves, it starts from the lowest Fame to max lobby capacity. Then converts to higher Fame for a new lobby with even higher fame. Knowledge is power and Fame is typically the best way to gauge that.

Next, I think high-rollers should not have an ante, or a gearscore requirement. Anyone who has access to high-rollers has already paid a price to play in the first place. I think the PvE should be even harder than it is now as compensation for that so players aren't encouraged to go in empty handed, but still have the option to do so.

Last but not least; I think the game could use a new class that strictly focuses on healing / support. Like a Shaman. It could work similarly to Bard, but drops stationary idols that heal / buff players in a short radius.

I know most people may think these suggestions are terrible, but I figured I would share them anyway as I do love & have a lot of faith in this game.

That's just most players with auto-teaming. They don't play solo because they don't want the failures to be all on them. So, they play with random teammates that help spread the blame.
