Another gorgeous day of Fight and Fighter! I begin by obliterating an entire module with the Long Sword, then I take a moment to praise my own skill as only the truly talented could use such a useless and weak weapon to this level of efficiency. Then, as I enter the next module, a (very very severely overpowered) landmine Rogue runs out from the shadows. He ambushes me for an unholy 1/10th of my health bar (thank goodness the dev team at Aluminum---Fork nerfed this insanely powerful class twice in 2 days and 6 times consecutively) before i put him down with two swings to the head (it should only taken 1 swing... jeez, my class is so weak and requires so much skill). Good thing I was the better player. And while looting my riches from this , from across the room I spot it; a dreaded Warlock! "Good Golly" I say to myself. I pull out my trusty bow, the main weapon of a melee tank, and lay into this heinous ranged character. Once he gets close enough, I give chase to this unholy demon. Unfortunately he is 0.5% faster than I am and hits me with a vile Curse. It actually lowered my health bar! Do the devs not even play their game!? Do they not understand Fighter is the weakest class?! I choose to abandon my infalible Heavy Plate armor, but then he turns into a ghost right when my blade would have reached him. What can I possibly do? My instincts tell me to make a hasty retreat. After all. that 1/10th of an HP bar that I lost should be looked after post haste. But I turn away my better judgement and continue the chase... to which I am justly rewarded!

Looting in the arena is the most strange idea they could possibly get. When you need to choose between loot and fight in the "pvp" arena... I thought they would just let you loot enemies when you won and take the items they bought and not found by themselves.

There's a considerable delta between "not going to be perfect" and "not going to be functional"

It almost seems like the original intent was that leaving intentionally was going to be punished by wiping your gear.
However that screwed over players that disconnected due to other issues.

So to still penalise people the leaver penalty goes up and gets introduced as the default but isn't tested and instead punishes everyone that loses

They've kind of killed the game for a player at my tier.. I'm not bad at the game, but i'm also not playing 12 hour high rollers with two good teammates. My HR gear score is around 300-400.. running into teams with 600-700 gear score and getting 3 tapped by a panther.

The game doesn't offer much fair competition and reward in the same domain.
Normals: Boring, no loot, but fair fighting
HR: Only one gear score bracket and my teammate isn't great but he's a close friend so there goes that.
Arena: Doesn't seem to be a gear score bracket from my testing and the loot is trash now.

That is because they dont really have an Idea what they want their Game to be, considering the fact you have Gear that has such a large impact on your performance that most of your skill is irrelevant the PvP is a statcheck 8 out of 10 times, and the other 2 times it is a class countering another class, theres no skill involved in randomly encountering another player that gets countered by your setup or has too high stat bonuses to fight him.
But on the other hand, the base mechanics of the Combat system are a great platform for a PvPvE extraction Game, but the Game is just getting lost inbetween all the different aspects that go extremily hard into either one or another direction

That is because alot of other reasons why this Game isnt getting new players, for example spawnrushing and retaining your movespeed via jumping are the 2 aspects that kill the Game, the first one is due to the fact that people optimize the fun out of the game by getting into PvP as fast as humanly possible (or inhumanly if you are unlucky enough to meet a cheato), which means that the PvE aspect of the PvPvE dungeon crawler is almost entirely irrelevant, and beeing able to retain your movespeed via Jumping, while technically beeing an oversight is the one aspect in pvp that takes a bit of skill, but the problem arises out of how important of a stat movespeed is in the Games Combat system, which results in players that know how to do it beeing very consistent at killing the players who dont know how to perform it, which is an extremily 1-sided experience and both of these aspects result in alot of players either quitting the Game due to them not really having a large chance of improving, or players who are motivated in improving beeing displeased by how getting better and playing "efficient" will result in half the Game not even be relevant, which is not what those players wanted either

Ironically it is very small because on higher gearscore Gameplay you can still win fights by just having a better setup, the only place where it is pretty large is in the lower gearscore brackets, where most of the Playerbase resides due to either questing or properly getting into the Game, and if those newer players are met with a Gameplay experience that doesnt meet the expectations based on IMs advertisments on the Storepage they will quit the Game, which results in the Game dying out at some point
