13k on warlock 2x stash+inventory full of gear
11k on wiz with 2x stash, 4 kits in stash each worth 5k
6k on bard with 2 kits each 4k and 1 stash
3k on fighter
I ran a healthy mix of HR and normals tho almost exclusively duo or trio HR i would have run more HR* but my friend was really bad with economy stuff (i helped him improve) so next wipe I will probably be richer

i haven't had so many problems with druids tbh as fighter, i think it gets bad when there are 2-3 druids in one party, it's just not fun to play against. and solo wizards kiting in duos or trios with whatever the ice spell is and then fire blast

yes, the quality on the squire gear is "poor", thus making most builds from the squire applicable regardless of armor type

Other than Artifacts (named weapons) any piece of equipment can be found at any rarity.
All squire does is just give out free grey/white gear, with his catalogue expanding as you finish quests.

you pull out bow they just abuse corners or walls and then when you either try to walk up or walk away youre screwed. its not hard to abuse an overpowered class and force people into your range via obstacles. you cant outrun to disengage, they break doors and slow you, you cant engage bc they can easily pick when to take the fight bc higher ms and potion chugger gives them more innate reset during fights whereas any other class has to hard disengage

You guys should add finisher options, it would make combat alot more epic if you found yourself in a duel with another player, and you won, and there's like a 1 second window when they reach 0 health where if you click a button you do a kill move animation on them

scenario example:

your wondering the dungeons aimlessy, looting every chest you find, slaughtering skeletons and goblins like ants
you come into an emtpy room with nothing but a chest in it, you go to open the chest when it suddenly comes to life and jumps at you, in a panic your sword thrusts through its mouth and out the other end, killing it instantly

you take a deep breath before hearing footsteps behind you, a rogue

turns quickly and activating your fighter ability, your heatlh start to regenerate and you get stabbed in the shoulder, you immidiently counterattack and hit the rogue in their head, they thrust their dagger a second time and you block it your counterattack perk kicks in, you quickly slam the rogue in the head, killing them

you click attack a third time, since the rogues already at zero health, you grab the shoulder of the player and drew him in, your sword goes through his chest and he falls to the ground in an animation

Not even close to being a paralell. ER is a difficult, but balanced game(for the most part). This game is... a disaster. It is not hard because of the difficulty, it is simply bad due to the balancing. This is like the TF2 of Looter-extractors -> a lot of RANDOM BS GO and plenty of deaths that are pretty much inevitable.

i love this game. i play because i enjoy it. but it shouldn't be too much to ask developers to do what the players are asking for. there are tons of people of skill that can agree some things are not right. im not asking for them to nerf everything to the ground so players can win every fight or get away 99 percent of the time. but when people are winning or ruining matches because they just want to cheese every exploit in the game its not really fun for others. i care not about high ranks. all im saying is that their focus is on the wrong thing. ratting is bad sure, the idea of a loot goblin is natrual in dnd and they even created a whole class around ratting (druid and rogue). there are other problems in this game.

to RumB, okay I took about a 2 week break from this game and in that time it updated like 3 times, and going through the patches ALL of the things were balancing updates. They are clearly trying too fix any balancing issue that actually does exist because so many people are asking, but when so many people are asking for so many different things to be buffed and so many other things (that are sometimes interlapping) to be nerfed, that is incredibily difficult to do.

to Zaya, the finishers would be promtable so like it isn't mandotory, if it's a group fight you can just not do the finisher

Yeah, you can do good almost always if you're better, but you'll have many games where you'll get stomped because of rock, paper, scissor mechanics. Why do people hate on barb players so much? I see so many people talking shit about it being a "🧠 dead w key class" and I just don't get it. It's a melee only class so yes, clearly they are going to have to gap close. I really don't see how it is less skileld than any other class though as someone who plays pretty much every class at least sometimes. Really the only classes I really see having to use more brain cells than normal in this game are backline clerics and some non-casterlock and non-demonlock warlock builds. I'm a strategic player and I play every class that way, especially barb as mistakes are very punishing on that class due to the very slow swing times.

It's really because of the overlap of where most new players are going to play (which is <25/<125 gs lobbies), and where barbarian is strongest. Low gear, and especially in solos, barbarian is just conceptually really strong. They can gain +10% damage from not wearing a chest piece. They can run a lizard/wolfman skin that makes them tankier, and it scales exponentially with their inherent tankiness. Not wearing anything makes them faster, and speed is very very powerful in this game.

I agree, it's just funny to see even streamers (who don't play barb or who kill a few noobs on barb) say that barb is a low-skill w key class. I agree W key is a skill check in the same way that a lot of players would just die to the demon berserker or centaur if they couldnt cheese it.

it's a class that you don't need to play very well at to still be effective.. Even against someone who isn't actively bad at the game, you can just DPS check them in low-level lobbies. You used to be able to just DPS check people in high-skill and high-gear lobbies too, so long as the bar buff-ball was fed, though it seems to be less of a thing now

Most ppl probably complain because they're going in solo vs a barb and likely meeting their match in a game of rock/paper/scissors, where movement speed is dominant.

Once you get into duos and trios where tanking/survivability become higher stat markers, movement doesn't mean as much relative to a teams dynamic and ability to stop a W key Barbarian.

Once Arena arrives, people will finally understand, or they'll just dig their heels in deep and cope. Point is, you can't do much about the perception ppl have of the barb class, best to play what you enjoy and lean into it.

I'm around 300-400 hours and since they introduced the random matchmaking, all I've played is sub 125 and sub 25 norms in trios on goblin caves. 90% of the players are in full common squire gear and well over over level 100. I did a couple runs in crypts and ice caves to see if it was different and pretty much everyone was timmies there except for a couple of tryhard timmy hunter teams. Some of the best PvP I've ever had in this game has been in these low gear matchmade goblin caves lobbies lately

The game is truly hard and unfogiving. It will take you a lot of time to learn PvE and PvP. Be patient, ask question, use the wiki (it's a really good source of info), learn the map maybe try to stick to one or two map at first so you get a bit more confortable. You'll get it, don't rush thing, try every class to find something you like and have fun

This isn't really what @spiral trellis complaining about. 225 GS is difficult to achieve with gear you collect through a single Normals map, probably takes two or three, sometimes four, to have enough while also not having a totally garbage mish-mash of stuff. You pretty much have to buy a kit to get in - which, if you don't want to suck, takes about 1kgp at minimum, sometimes more. It's extremely unfriendly to people who are not accustomed to that sort of grind who might want to get the rewards at the end of the season.

Is it doable with random garbage in your inventory? I suppose, but then you have bad gear.

The argument is that the minimum gearscore requirement is not friendly to new players. It makes the experience for people who are new to the game worse, especially when they already have to buy the game to even play it. To me, it seems like something implemented to make the streamer experience better, as before I've seen a streamer or two complain that the people in the games weren't wearing any good gear and hoped to fish for their better gear.

My suggestion is that it is removed. It drives player engagement down, putting up a barrier through which you have to grind (beyond the one that already exists with the minimum level requirement AND purchasing the game) in order to be able to participate in a slightly more difficult but no-holds-barred experience that is ultimately more rewarding in the long-term.

Skeleton axeman is harder to dodge that almost any other attacks. The hitbox along the edge of his axe seems really long and a bit wide.

That being said you can consistently block it by backsteeping far enough and then looking straight up, the problem I think is the axe hitting your head before it makes contact with the shield bc of how the attack/axe hitbox moves. If it's his side sweep then it's almost as easy as the zwei skeletons with the exception that if you are looking to war forward the axe catches you before the shaft hits the shield(which is similar to what typically happens on the overhead swing if you miss it from being too close)

How so? People end up losing their gear and need to spend more time grinding for it back in the normal dungeon. Thats less time in HR, now they dont want to pvp because the chances of losing their gear and AP again, thats less pvp in HR

maybe if the gs requirement wasnt so high I'd be more willing to pvp, but it puts you into lobbies with people going in with 800 gearscore, not very fair imo

Like I told him, maybe if there was more balancing gearscore wise in HR people would be more willing to pvp. Knowing the people I'm in there with came in with similar leveled stats as me gives me confidence I have any chance at winning. I've legit left on boat as soon as I spawned once and there was someone with 600, another with 700, and someone else with 800 gearscore.

Would you say thats a fair fight for someone with 225 gs? Would you risk your AP and gear over one pvp battle where the odds are completely against you?

Adding gs lobby pooling would be nice, but they clearly dont have any consideration to do that since they put it at 225+, when the highest you can go before ending up in any lobby gs is 125+

Honestly, gear score past 225, not as important as you think. Good game sense, and decent playing smart, often can take on these crazy geared players because their over confidence makes them take risks they otherwise wouldnt

nah but here is an example on why that is a flawed question, im not really sure how the gs system in normals is nowadays but it used to be 0-24, 25-124/5 and 125/6+, now i ask you this, would you go into a game with a gearscore of like 140 and be upset that people came in at a hgiher gearscore or would you go to a different bracket? going in just over the gearscore limit is your own problem

Oh I'm not the one doing stat checks I try all kinds of different ways of doing stuff. But when your stats make you squishy and you can't get good hits in on someone thats runnin around player hunting (typically picking up better and better gear off players they killed), you lose that fight. Especially now that its experience + better stats vs someone that doesnt have quite as much experience and lower gearscore.

Running into someones sword and dying within less than a minute of encountering a player is not gaining experience pvp wise and wont lead to any new players getting better at pvp

gear score matters only when you are stat checking someone. If you are playing druid you shouldnt be doing that anyway as you have infinite kite potential. Ive killed players with like 15k kits in HR running a <1k kit. The only thing that matters is positioning, spacing, playing smarter etc.

Look at it this way, if you are running a really budget kit, you have more to win in that fight vs a super geared player than they do. And theres a very good chance they are trying to stat check you in the most direct way

This was the same problem in Albion Online Mists: The lack of kill feed and player kill names hidden and trying to hide players breeds a space for hackers. You absolutely have to have kill cams and kill feeds for player names if you want to deter this kind of behavior

Yes, each stack will increase the damage from his screams. If you have say over 5 stacks and you are not at full HP you will probably die.

preference: I like Castillon because the final hit does 120% bonus. So you can get 100+ hits with it. Only dagger that can hit that hard. Many like the daggers that have armor pen% Stiletto and Rondel. I prefer to clap with a Castillon. Also dependson HR vs. 124 Meta

Has anyone been able to get Shadowplay/GeForce Experience to work reliably with DaD? I've tried every combination of windowed/fullscreen/desktop capture etc. and for me it still only works about 30% of the time. As in, I enable the Instant Replay feature, but when I hit the button to record the last 10m of gameplay, no movie file is created.
