Best way I've found to beat warlocks if you're melee is to fake them out
Going hard into them so they pull out the melee weapon, then backing out to make them pull the book back out. Make em flipflop and youll only be taking curse damage theoretically
Yeah its not easy because warlock is a very good class but they're not unbeatable. It's sorta 4head but you do have to play smarter than them

Any chance Warlock might get a nerf or removal? The fact you can cast flame walker and be invincible to all melee and only be effected by 2 or 3 spells is broken, also being able to move that fast and use a sword and shield which is a nightmare for barbs and from there you can gain distance and just steal health and run is sooooo broken lmao. Yes I know it might look rough to f2p player but imo better improvement could have been done instead of giving them access to gear and marketplace. Like giving them a 2nd character slot for 5-10K goldfor example. Because imo right now The fact that we can use gear in normal and that they have access to marketplace have change thing (in bad) for people who have the Legendary version. For exemple I feel like High roller lobby are half empty and that only experienced player/ player who play only to PvP go in there. Because Squire version don't have interest in buying the game to play the gear and also because some player are afraid or bored to go in HR and get stomped by those Eperienced/PvP player. 2nd exemple is that the price of some item (Like gold coin bag and gold coin chest) are more expansive that they should be because Squire version need them a lot (Cause they have limited space due to only one character)

Yep, a good combo would be FIghter/Barbarian with a Cleric. It help a lot to learn the game when you don't stress all the time about your HP. Druid work too but is a bit more complex/harder to learn and not as good as the cleric when it come to heal. He's a different type of Support but can work too

druid is easy, floor spell to stop them, thorn wall to impede them, treant to harass and draw some attention, mouse or cougar to close distance, etc...their phantasm thing has a cooldown, just gatta manage around that...

fighter gatta try and force them into a corner, force them to use phantasm, then just catch up with sprint afterwards, gatta time it so they cant phantasm once youre close, takes some mindgames, but....other option is a xbow, or bows if using weapon mastery...or just avoid them till they chase you in a tight corridor...use corners, DONT let him just keep chipping at you with curses...

bard has hand xbow for some chip, but mostly you're generally fast, possibly faster than them, just cant use open rooms and iirc there's a song to silence casters, that'd help.

keep in mind warlocks can simply outplay this stuff and close doors or w/e, when i said 'its easy' perhaps 'its simple' would be more accurate...

everyone's gatta try and play to their strengths and get the other one to mess up and get too close or not push or w/e

See that's the thing. Those other classes are built to do that amount of damage on regular hits due to having either slower weapons or higher physical stats (with lower manual dexterity). Rogue is built to be a high DPS character, not a high instant damage character.

I loved demon mode, even before the weapons addition. I didn't even run a meta build, just phantomise + blood pact to maximize rushdown. I hate magic heal warlock, I think it's lame and boring to run away and heal and just try to chip people and outlast them. But now blood pact is borderline useless. There's very few opposing builds or scenarios where you are better off either offensively or defensively as a demon. It's only not warlock's worst ability because dark offering is an ability no class would ever take even if they could.

It's crazy how much they fucked it over. They made the HP drain so fast that you only get about 10 seconds of demon mode before your HP becomes lower than where it started, they made demon slower and forced it to use weapons and never use spells by completely neutering claw damage output. And the Magic res/PDR are almost useless to begin with, because if you run enough armor to take advantage of the bonus amount, you are slow enough to just be evaded and you'll chip yourself to death.

And even just ignoring the lost speed from lower Agil boost, all the other attribute boosts are worse too, so after factoring lost HP, you gain almost nothing except the abyssal flames and exploitation strike (while losing your other ability), meaning you have to use a Kris to take advantage of the only really good benefits it gets, and to maintain a semblence of speed.

So they added weapons, but it's an illusion of choice. You must use kris, otherwise you will drain your health trying to slow chase people down, you won't be in range for flames, and you will get less hits off for exploitation strike healing or shadow touch healing.

And it's a shame too, because it has so much potential. They went all in on druid, creating tons of different models, but a few neat demon weapons or demon spells wouldn't be okay?

Blood Pact was never Warlock's Meta skill, and in fact, the big tanky demon niche allowed for the class to actually have some variety, even if it was a little strong. However, it HAD to be strong because of the massive commitment that came with using the skill effectively in the first place. You not only HAD to give up phantomize or spells, but you had forgo the usage of ALL dark spells, get 10 kills before you transform, and then IMMEDIATELY make your play after you did so that you don't waste health.

And even STILL, when it was in it's prime (either when it was first released and you could move at full speed while casting, or more recently when you could use weapons while retaining the scaling of the bare handed demon,) Phantomize was still a better skill to use........

I've mained Demon-lock ever since it was released, and these nerfs feel so unjust, and kind of like a "band-aid" solution more than anything. They experimented with the skill by giving it weapons, but failed to foresee how the scaling would effect it, things broke, and their only quick fix was to nuke it with nerfs.....Like, why not atleast revert the changes on live server instead? The old bare handed demon is considerably better and less painful to play than what we have now.

And that should be the possibility. When I run trios a lot of the time at least half the lobby are blues/some purples mixed with a few greens or straight nakeds. The undergeared who can capitalize on that should realize that the super geared players need to be avoided or fought specifically to counter their comp.

I don’t agree with that. The game is not made to be fair. Classes have counters and you should engage/disengage accordingly(rogue’s are just fucked for mages).

Barbarian mostly mellee, hence gonna be repetitive and boring down the line.

Ranger however have mellee and range ability that is equally great.

The price of item like Gold coin bag and chest are way higher than normal because free player need them a lot as they have only one character so not a lot of stash and space. But most importantly the fact that IM removed the gear restriction in normal cause lobby in High roller to be half empty even now we have more player. Because free player don't have to buy the game to use the gear and stick to the free version and some Legendary player also play normal 25+ because the they're too afraid/bored to get stomp by Experienced/full PvP player due to the lack of gearscore in High roller

The Hat quest and the Red Ore quest can get very annoying due to the rng drop chance of leather caps and the rng spawn point of hell rooms, clearing hell consistently is easy but trying to cross the entire map for 4 redstone from 2 veins can get pretty frustrating

No..as in..a single shot can't realod..but to make it worth. The reload is as long as a 2h crossbow fighter carries. This class (rogue) already is garbage...I got 1v1'd by a warlock in plate with a dagger...not a single spell cast

I did shoot once with the crossbow. I also got the ambush on him and he straight up brawled me to death and he had a dagger lol. Under 25 so no crazy gear. Rogue is just hella bad you gotta play in high GS games to do anything and even then the cleric and fighter will cook you up

umm no? under 25 rouge is a bit weak for sure but still not the weakest ( wizard) and once u get gear rouge can currently get 20-40% pen for bscially nothing and shreds those classes

yea i've seen all the recent videos..because I am trying to learn. It's just that they are insane players and literally curb stomp anyone and the enemies they face are just different than what I see, at least the ones in these videos. Like he shot his xbow 4 times on a fighter. Fighters I see rush me with sprint I don't have time to reload even once.

Personally, whenever I fight fighters I usually play around doorways/places with maneuverability like the cliffs module to run away and make it harder for them to just B-line it to me. Other than that I don't really get caught by fighters and clerics
